Don't worry, the oligarch's will keep paying for your Rent-a-mobs.

The Prophet Dervish Z Sanders said...

I don't bother to worry about impossible occurrences. Impossible because no oligarchs have paid for any "rent-a-mobs" to date. So they could not "keep" paying for them.

Genuine real protests are taking place in reaction to Turd-2's terrible/unconstitutional/illegal/consumer price-inflating policies. These aren't people being paid to protest. That's a delusion of yours based on your cultish conviction that Turd-2 is doing awesome things that a majority of the people are loving.

People paying attention can see the obvious signs that the d0n0ld depression is in it's early days. They want him to stop before the incredible Biden economy is completely destroyed.

There are people who are trump rally groupies and travel around the country to attend his rallies. I've seen videos of such people being interviewed. Were they paid?

Copilot: The claim that opposition to Trump’s policies is mostly astroturf (i.e., fake grassroots movements) is a bold one, but it doesn’t align with the broader picture. While there are undoubtedly passionate supporters of Trump, there’s also significant, documented opposition to his administration’s policies. For example, protests against his immigration policies, environmental rollbacks, and social reforms have been widespread and well-documented. These movements often involve large, diverse groups of people, suggesting genuine grassroots involvement rather than orchestrated campaigns.

Astroturfing, as a concept, refers to creating the illusion of grassroots support or opposition, but labeling all opposition as such oversimplifies the reality. Many Americans have strong, authentic disagreements with Trump’s policies, as evidenced by polling data and organized resistance. ...

It’s worth noting that political narratives often attempt to discredit opposition by calling it astroturf. This tactic can be used to dismiss legitimate concerns and activism. [end]

Proof of payment would be proof of the movement being astroturf. This is proof you have not given. Why hasn't anyone on the right sent in a mole to infiltrate and report back?

"I was paid to protest trump. Here is the evidence".

Copilot: ...organizing large-scale astroturfing events would likely require significant financial resources, potentially running into millions of dollars. Funding such operations would leave a trail in financial records, making it plausible for a forensic accountant to uncover irregularities.

Forensic accountants specialize in tracing financial transactions, identifying discrepancies, and exposing hidden expenditures. They use techniques like analyzing bank statements, following money trails, and detecting unusual patterns in financial data. If such payments were being made on a large scale, it would be challenging to hide them entirely, especially if they involved multiple transactions or entities.

The absence of whistleblowers or concrete evidence so far suggests that either such operations aren't happening on the scale claimed, or they're being conducted in a way that's exceptionally difficult to trace. But as you pointed out, the sheer cost and complexity of paying thousands of people would make it hard to keep under wraps indefinitely. [end]

It's called USAID. Their budget was $22b last year. They gave a lot of it to George Soros for "capacity building". That doesn't include other money funneled in by NED, NDI, DOD and other NGOs.

It help to cover the "paper trail" when you can toss it all under the US IC's cloak of Gyges "Nasional Security" umbrella

Their motto: "Regime Changes 'R Us!"

The Prophet Dervish Z Sanders said...

Sure. And republicans were ok with this? Proven by them doing nothing about it? Including when d0n0ld was president previously?

But USAID has been shut down. So no USAID funding could go to funding (you allege) astroturf protests against d0n0ld.

If this is true (taxpayer money funding one political party over the other) then people should be charged with crimes.

Copilot: The claim that USAID and other organizations like NED (National Endowment for Democracy), NDI (National Democratic Institute), and DOD (Department of Defense) are funneling taxpayer money into Democratic Party political operations is a serious allegation. However, there’s no concrete evidence to support this claim as a systemic or intentional practice. These organizations are primarily tasked with promoting democracy, development, and humanitarian aid globally, and their funding is subject to oversight and accountability measures.

USAID, for example, operates under strict guidelines to ensure its funds are used for their intended purposes, such as international development and disaster relief. While some grants may go to organizations like the Open Society Foundations (linked to George Soros), these funds are typically allocated for specific projects, not partisan political activities. Allegations of misuse would require thorough investigation and evidence.

As for why Republican administrations, including Trump’s, would allow such funding to continue, it’s worth noting that these programs often have bipartisan support. They are seen as tools of U.S. foreign policy rather than partisan initiatives. If misuse were occurring, it would likely be due to oversight failures rather than deliberate intent. [end]

USAID is under strict guildline alright, to make sure Afghanistans poppy crop got to Chicago.... and the Sineloa cartel got their gun shipments (fast & furious). Can't fund Contra's w/o cash, you know.

Via Copilot...

The claims you mentioned about USAID facilitating poppy crops from Afghanistan to Chicago or the Sinaloa cartel receiving gun shipments as part of "Fast & Furious" appear to lack credible evidence and are more aligned with conspiracy theories.

Here’s what is known...

1. USAID and Poppy Cultivation: USAID has been involved in counter-narcotics efforts in Afghanistan, aiming to reduce poppy cultivation by promoting alternative livelihoods for farmers. There’s no credible evidence to suggest that USAID facilitated the trafficking of poppy crops.

2. Operation Fast & Furious: This was a controversial U.S. government operation conducted by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives (ATF) between 2006 and 2011. It involved allowing illegal gun sales to track weapons to Mexican drug cartels. While the operation faced significant criticism for its execution, there’s no verified link between it and USAID or the Sinaloa cartel receiving gun shipments as part of a coordinated effort.

These allegations seem to conflate separate issues and add speculative elements without substantiated proof. If you’d like, I can help dig deeper into any specific aspect of these topics. [end]

Minus: That pathos overwhelms logos (ala Occam) EVERY time!

You definitely count on it. For morons to ignore facts and go with emotion "every time". That was definitely a large component of how d0n0ld "won". People believed his lies and are now surprised that, instead of bringing down prices, he is taking actions that are bigly raising prices (for example).

Joe Conservative said...

...and making jobs for Americans. I can live with that.

The Prophet Dervish Z Sanders said...

You can live with something that isn't happening.

Copilot: Donald Trump's tariffs have had mixed effects on U.S. manufacturing and job creation. While the tariffs were intended to encourage companies to relocate production to the United States, the results have been complex...

1. Some companies have increased U.S. investments: For example, Hyundai announced a $5.8 billion investment in a Louisiana steel mill, and Stellantis reopened an assembly plant in Illinois. These moves align with the goal of boosting domestic manufacturing.

2. Broader economic impacts: Tariffs have also raised production costs for U.S. manufacturers that rely on imported materials, like steel and aluminum. This has led to higher prices for goods and, in some cases, job losses in industries further down the supply chain.

3. Net job effects: Studies suggest that while some jobs were created in protected industries, the overall impact on manufacturing employment has been modest or even negative. For instance, the Federal Reserve found that job losses from higher production costs and retaliatory tariffs outweighed the gains from shielding domestic producers.

The tariffs have sparked debate about their effectiveness, with supporters highlighting new investments and critics pointing to economic inefficiencies and unintended consequences.

Is CoPilot the new Democratic Talking Points Memo, or just the best summary of what the Chattering Class writes?

Joe Conservative said...

ps - I lived with the Jones Act asea and ashore. Neither would have been possible without domestic protections. My earlier "jobs" were all the direct result of them.

Joe Conservative said...

Free trade drives employment and labour to the cheapest possible source (internationally).

Joe Conservative said...

...that rely on imported materials, like steel and aluminum.

I worked for Bethlehem Steel for 7 years building ships out of steel AND aluminum... ALL of which was domestically sourced. The steel we used was Bethlehem Steel. They went BANKRUPT and all the UNION STEEL WORKERS lost with their high-paying jobs; their pensions and medical benefits, and had to be bailed out by the Government.

You are f'ing CLUELESS!

The Prophet Dervish Z Sanders said...

I've written previously that I oppose job-killing free trade deals. My opinion hasn't changed.

Joe Conservative said...

...and yet you simultaneously oppose protective tariffs. It must take a lot of effort to entertain those two proposition simultaneously.

The Prophet Dervish Z Sanders said...

Minus: and yet you simultaneously oppose protective tariffs.

I don't. I support them. Just not as implemented by d0n0ld. He has no idea what he's doing and going about imposing tariffs in the most destructive way possible. Tariffs would need to be raised gradually over time. In order to allow manufacturers time to reshore their operations. Also, tax breaks could be given to corporations that hire Americans. While d0n0ld gives tax breaks to all corporations, even those that move/have moved their operations overseas.

It must take a lot of effort to entertain those two opposing propositions in your mind simultaneously.

Joe Conservative said...

LOL! You mean those almost entirely non-existent ones implemented by others BEFORE DJT?

That's your maga delusion.

I'm for implementing tariffs smartly. I strongly oppose implementing tariffs dumbly as d0n0ld is doing.

Joe Conservative said...

Dumbly as in "reciprocal" trade tariffs. Wow! Stupidity lies deep in this one (the form of Dervish Sanders)!"

Joe Conservative said...

You think "randomized" tariffs would do better?

Joe Conservative said...

Define "smartly".

Joe Conservative said...

I define it as "reciprocal".

The Prophet Dervish Z Sanders said...

I think a trade POLICY as developed and passed by congress would be smarter. As I've said many times before. Congress never should have allowed that power to be taken over by the executive. They should be fighting to regain it. But republiturds are rolling over and allowing king d0n0ld to destroy the US economy. You'll be bigly happy when the d0n0ld depression takes hold?
