On October 7th 2023 we saw the largest attack on Jews since the Holocaust. The barbarity and cruelness of October 7th was something that will haunt me for the rest of my life. There hasn’t been a day in the last two years I haven’t thought about it. I was unprepared for what followed though. I was unprepared to watch society celebrate and justified this cruelness, kidnapping and the murdering of children and the elderly, family, and the dehumanization of Jews. Little Girls were Raped From the usual suspect on the far left. I was unprepared for how mainstream antisemitism would become. I was unprepared to watch everyone stay silent about that. I watched everyone abadon their morals and principles bc it was easier to believe jews are evil and unworthy of your sympathy, signifying their deeply rooted jew hatred. Prior to 10/7 I always felt relaxed in the fact that if there ever was a day that the Jewish people were under threat, that I could count on the plethora of my non Jewish friends I’ve made in my lifetime especially in college and in the Army. I was unprepared for when that time came, I would be met with at best private support when they are outspoken about everything else and at worst, absolute silence or betrayal. It especially hurts considering I’ve always been a loyal and devoted friend. This has been a tough pill to swallow. It makes me feel the life I lived was a lie. Living in a fantasy that is not reality. 2 years later I still have trouble coming to terms with it. On 10/7 I mourn. I mourn the loss of all these beautiful souls. I mourn the loss of life Israeli or Palestinian civilian as a result of this terrorist attack that started a brutal war. I mourn a more carefree life. I mourn all my safe spaces. I mourn my friendships. And I find the people that are comparing our American President with Hitler to be despicable, and disgusting people. .

Where’s the outrage? Where’s the moral consistency? If “justice” really matters, it has to apply to everyone, even when the villains aren’t wearing uniforms or speaking Hebrew. Where are they now that nobody is there to PAY them? Where are they now when “justice” needs them? Students for Justice in Palestine claim to fight for the oppressed. Yet there is silence on Hamas’s street justice, blindfolded victims, mass killings, and families terrorized for having the wrong last name exposes the hypocrisy. These aren’t rumors. Gaza civilians have long known what it means when a militia, not a court, when street thugs decides who lives or dies. If your movement can flood campuses demanding due process for one side, how can it shrug off executions carried out without one single trial? Justice can’t depend on your hashtags. So, just as we thought, the Hostage bodies were being used as bargaining chips. Thats all they meant to those wild Animals. Yes, now you can see what Wild Animals those thugs were and still are! Let’s talk about the “humanitarian” gestures Hamas promised. They agreed to return hostage remains in exchange for prisoners. But the bodies trickle back one by one delayed, manipulated, politicized. That’s not compassion; it’s extortion. And yet, not a whisper from those who once shouted “Free Gaza!” “Free Palistine” It was all a cheap charade! And we Americans knew it all the time! f this were Israel withholding remains, the protests would fill every quad, every hall of Justice in America! Every collage campus in America. But when Hamas breaks its word, the activists go mute. Apparently, “justice” depends on who’s committing the crime. But no one defends Gaza civilians, because no one cares. While the world’s cameras point elsewhere, Gaza’s own people suffer under rule by fear. Rival clans, ordinary families, even suspected critics anyone can be branded a “collaborator” and vanish. Homes are being burned. Bodies disappear. The same groups that claim to “defend Palestine” are enforcing their rule with terror. And what do the campus protesters say about that? Nothing. Because acknowledging Hamas’s brutality would shatter their black-and-white narrative of heroes and villains. Silence is complicity You can’t claim to fight for freedom and ignore those being executed without trial. Bottom Line: you need to pick a side — principle or politics Either you believe in due process and human rights for all, or you don’t.

Now comes the hard part which is having all the bodies of the deceased being returned to Israel for a proper burial. These families matter too. I also want to remind that these innocent souls were hold for ransom by Hamas. They weren’t just freed for no cost. Israel had to release 1000s of prisoners with blood on their hands in order for 20 living to be released. Imagine your loved one is kidnapped and held hostage and the only way to get them released is to release james Holmes and the Boston bombers and the Oklahoma bomber and all these people with blood on their hands back on the streets. That’s what Israel was forced to do. Please think of that type of sacrifice and what that says about the people of Israel amd jews who are accused of being “genocidal” and “war mongerers”.
