The answer is... it didn't. This is yet another example of tRump turning legit Democrat complaints against them. Similar to how it was republicans who were warmongers when gwb was president. Now (because Democrats support Democracy in Ukraine) the "warmongers" are Democrats.
It's trumper jiu-jitsu. It works because trumpers are morons. Or hypocrites who think it's funny to take arguments Democrats previously made against republicans -- and turn them back on Democrats.

It is very disappointing to see Rick Overton sitting on that stage. He used to be a occasional guest on the Stephanie Miller Show. Stephanie mentioned that he "turned to the dark side". fyi, progressive talk show host Thom Hartmann has said for a long time that he favors paper ballots.
