The Oedipal Birth of the Woke Progressive and an Anti-Oedipal Reactionary Groyper Personae
Separating True Guilt from False Guilt
“There is no such thing as collective guilt or collective innocence; guilt and innocence make sense only if applied to individuals."–Hannah Arendt, "Personal Responsibility Under Dictatorship"
Complex trauma (or Complex PTSD) stems from prolonged, repeated, and pervasive traumatic events, often interpersonal like abuse or neglect, disrupting development and sense of self, leading to severe issues with self-regulation, relationships, identity, and emotional control, unlike single-event PTSD, requiring therapies focused on building resilience, managing symptoms, and processing trauma for healing.
What Causes It?
Complex trauma usually involves ongoing, inescapable situations, often in childhood, where a caregiver is the source of harm, including:Abuse: Physical, emotional, sexual.
Neglect: Physical or emotional.
Household Dysfunction: Domestic violence, parental substance abuse, mental illness.
Systemic Trauma: War, slavery, forced displacement (refugees), or severe discrimination.
