How!

...on the Men of the Old Dun Cow:
The 1st 42nd New York Infantry Regiment (Gettysburg)
The "Old dun cow" is a nickname for the 2nd 42nd Infantry Division (Rainbow Division)(WWI)
The nickname is attributed to the division's formation during World War I from National Guard units across the US.
The division's diverse composition, representing a cross-section of the American people, was likened to a rainbow, hence the nickname "Rainbow Division".
The "Old dun cow" is a more informal and less commonly used nickname for the Rainbow Division

Copilot: The word "how" as a greeting is often associated with Native Americans in pop culture, but its actual usage is more nuanced. It originates from the Lakota word "háu", which was historically used as a greeting among Lakota men. However, the widespread use of "how" in movies, books, and cartoons has led to a stereotypical portrayal that doesn’t accurately reflect the diverse languages and customs of Indigenous peoples.

Different tribes have their own greetings, and many Native American languages don’t use "how" at all. The idea that all Native Americans say "how" is largely a Hollywood invention, reinforced by early Western films and novels. [end]

How is the traditional greeting used by all fake Indians, though. Didn't you ever play cowboys and indians when you were young? I used to have the whole megillah "Roy Rogers" outfit. I even went to the Roy Rogers museum in Apple Valley CA when I was a kid. I even saw the stuffed Trigger and Bullet. Happy Trails....

Americans have been dressing up as indians since the Boston Teaparty. I see no reasons to stop doing so now, other that your ridiculous guilt-pride obsession.

We're ALL the Hekawi now.

...especially as your mythical guilt-pride fixation melts into time's oblivion.

I have no such fixation. "Guilt Pride" is your BS branding for anti-racism. And I feel zero guilt for being anti-racist. FYI, anti-racism is definitely not dead. White Supremacy will melt into time's oblivion. Eventually. It's on an upswing now, but this is a "temporary" setback.

...and your interpretative machinery always runs phenomena through a guilt-pride mental filter first.
