Forget the thousands of reasons Trump should have never become the Republican candidate for President in 2016. The Republican Party in the aftermath certainly would have gained more from rejecting the guy that lost them the House, the Senate, and the Oval Office than by clinging to him in his intentional nosedive to oblivion.
