Midazolam, sold under the brand name Versed among others, is a benzodiazepine medication used for anesthesia, premedication before surgical anesthesia, and procedural sedation, and to treat severe agitation.[12] It induces sleepiness, decreases anxiety, and causes anterograde amnesia.[12]
The drug does not cause an individual to become unconscious, merely to be sedated.[12] It is also useful for the treatment of prolonged (lasting over five minutes) seizures.[14] Midazolam can be given by mouth, intravenously, by injection into a muscle, by spraying into the nose, or through the cheek.[12][14] When given intravenously, it typically begins working within five minutes; when injected into a muscle, it can take fifteen minutes to begin working;[12] when taken orally, it can take 10–20 minutes to begin working.[15]
Side effects can include a decrease in efforts to breathe, low blood pressure, and sleepiness.[12] Tolerance to its effects and withdrawal syndrome may occur following long-term use.[16] Paradoxical effects, such as increased activity, can occur especially in children and older people.[16] There is evidence of risk when used during pregnancy but no evidence of harm with a single dose during breastfeeding.[17][18]
Midazolam was patented in 1974 and came into medical use in 1982.[19] It is on the World Health Organization's List of Essential Medicines.[20] Midazolam is available as a generic medication.[17] In many countries, it is a controlled substance.[12]
End of life care
In the final stages of end-of-life care, midazolam is routinely used at low doses via subcutaneous injection to help with agitation, restlessness or anxiety in the last hours or days of life.[36] At higher doses during the last weeks of life, midazolam is considered a first line agent in palliative continuous deep sedation therapy when it is necessary to alleviate intolerable suffering not responsive to other treatments,[37] but the need for this is rare.[38]

The Positive Low Crime Rate Records That They Show Us Just That Doesn’t Add Up, and Don’t make Sense!
We’re being told by the Media time and time again, that America’s homicide rate is the lowest in modern history. Great news, right? We see the FBI, and the President constantly patting themselves on the back, the crime analysts are agreeing along, and headlines are already drafted celebrating the “historicical drop.”
But here’s what has me baffeled: these glowing national numbers keep clashing with what residents actually see for themselves in, like in Chicago, Atlanta, Los Angles, and New York many of which are battling visible waves of Violence, Carjackings, Retail Crime, and Assaults, and even Murders. And every time these cities report their data, the numbers look suspiciously low? So What The Hell Is Going On?
We are long past the point where these discrepancies are just “Mistakes” in reporting. They’re systemic failures, and sometimes Outright Omissions, that completly distort the national crime trends and hide the real problems that the public faces with every day.
When the Mayor, or the Governor underreports homicides robberies, or even rapes, they may look good, but it fails to update Crime data, it doesn’t just skew local figures; it drags down the national averages, creating the illusion of progress where no prpgress actually exists.
Meanwhile, our FBI leadership brags about “double-digit drops in crime,” as if everyone’s on the same page. But how true is this “record low” when the largest urban contributors are leaving out whole categories of major crime incidents?
We already know that several of the the major Progressive Communist Democrat governed cities report months late, or skip entire quarters, without any consequence.
You cannot fix what you refuse to measure. And too many city leaders treat REAL crime data like a political liability rather than a public safety necessity.The Public Deserves the Truth Not a Pretty Picture that they Paint!
Instead, we get glowing forecasts, and celebratory quotes all while the elephants in the room New York, Chicago, Atlanta, Philadelphia, Los Angeles, and others continue to maintain falsehood reporting systems.
Until those cities fix their data reporting, and reform their reporting culture, and stop playing political games with Crime statistics, the national numbers will remain only half-story, and half-optics, and lies. And until those issues are addressed, every “historic low” will be seen by piblic the same unanswered question: What numbers aren’t we seeing?
