A New Political Party... *Yawn*

A party with no positions is awesome. The other parties disappoint by saying they have positions that they don't.

I would run for President again, but Trump already used my schtick to conceal the fact that he's a far-left America hater. I was fully prepared to end leftism in this country by tricking the people into following the Constitution, but I'd need major party backing, and Trump made it impossible for anyone with more than 38 IQ points to feel good about voting Republican. The Democrats wouldn't have me because they've hated the Constitution since Andrew Jackson challenged the Supreme Court to come stop his army from forcing the Cherokee into Oklahoma.

I need a campaign slogan. "I will teach every damned one of you to hate the government even if I have to rifle butt you all in your parasitic faces myself. Vote for me or fuck off "

...catchy!

The Prophet Dervish Z Sanders said...

As a fascist, donald tRump is far Right, not far Left. Anyone who does not understand that has got to have a pretty low IQ.

Wikipedia: "Fascism is a far-right, authoritarian, ultranationalist political ideology and movement, characterized by dictatorial power, forcible suppression of opposition..."

Running up the debt bigly (which tRump did and apparently why you incorrectly label him "far Left") is a republican thing, not a Democrat thing.

The Prophet Dervish Z Sanders said...

If Never tRump republicans switch from Biden to Yang, that could help tRump win. As a tRump supporter, you'd think Dore would be praising Yang.

He must realize nobody is going to vote "Forward", so he criticizes Yang to shore up his fake Lefty facade. Besides, Dore has his own third party idea to siphon (progressive) votes away from Biden so tRump wins.

Wikipedia's THE "authority" on fascism? I thought it was politically edited in real time by "progressive" liberals...

-FJ the Dangerous and Extreme MAGA Jew said...

ps - Better not tell Joe Manchin that Democrats aren't for running up the debt "biggly" until after the Inflation Reduction Act passes...

Joe Conservative said...

it authorizes $370 billion in spending on energy and climate change, $300 billion in deficit reduction,

Sounds like a "net" $70 billion add to the deficit.

Joe Conservative said...

:)

The Prophet Dervish Z Sanders said...

The original Build Back Better was paid for. DINO Manchin doesn't want to raise taxes sufficiently to pay for what we need. That doesn't mean all other Democrats support his fiscal irresponsibility.

I didn't spell "bigly" with two Gs.

That fascism is right-wing can be found as a part of the definition not only on Wikipedia.

: An authoritarian and nationalistic right-wing system of government and social organization. The term Fascism was first used of the totalitarian right-wing nationalist regime of Mussolini in Italy...

CBS News: What is fascism? And what does it mean in 2020 America? (excerpt) ...President Donald Trump's years in office have seen a surge in "fascism" talk from both supporters and opponents using the word to describe their political adversaries. Can all of them be right? Of course not. ... Fascism is generally defined as a political movement that embraces far-right nationalism and the forceful suppression of any opposition, all overseen by an authoritarian government. Fascists strongly oppose Marxism, liberalism and democracy...

FYI, as per Google... People also ask: Is Bigly an English word?

Answer: So, for those interested -- yes, "bigly" is in fact a real word, according to the Oxford English Dictionary at least. The dictionary classifies the word as an adverb, meaning "with great force" or "loudly, boastfully". But it's likely that the Republican nominee [donald tRump] did in fact use the phrase "big league", not "bigly".

Didn't look at your video. No MBs to spare right now. I am looking into getting Spectrum which offers unlimited data. They said maybe I can get it. They're going to send a tech to see if it will work where I live.

Joe Conservative said...

Tell you what, I'll agree that fascism is right-wing if you'll agree that totalitarianism is left-wing.

The Prophet Dervish Z Sanders said...

No. "Totalitarianism" involves "centralized control by an autocratic authority". The definition does not specify that it is Left or Right wing.

According to Manchin, ...the measure "would dedicate hundreds of billions of dollars to deficit reduction by adopting a tax policy that protects small businesses and working-class Americans while ensuring that large corporations and the ultra-wealthy pay their fair share in taxes".

The legislation can't be adding to the debt if it is bringing down the deficit.

Thersites said...

What part of spending more than taking in don't you understand?

Thersites said...

...and fascism ala Mussolini was socialist... Mussolini was originally a socialist politician and a journalist at the Avanti! newspaper. In 1912, he became a member of the National Directorate of the Italian Socialist Party (PSI), but he was expelled from the PSI for advocating military intervention in World War I, in opposition to the party's stance on neutrality.

(((Thought Criminal))) said...

Juan Peron, Mussolini's acolyte in Argentina and the willing harbor and safe haven of Nazi war criminals was as left-wing as they come.

If fascism isn't left-wing, nothing is.

Totalitarianism is left wing. And fascism is just a step in the same direction.

The Prophet Dervish Z Sanders said...

No.

The Prophet Dervish Z Sanders said...

You told the truth when you referred to tRump as an "authoritarian outsider". You reveal you are a fascist when you advocate in favor of police brutality. And approvingly speculated that tRump would order protestors shot if he "won" in 2020 and people marched in protest. So why are you lying now? Why not be proud that you are a fascist?

Thersites said...

Because I don't believe of government control and direction of private corporations, which is what "fascism" is. I'm not the one obsessed with "controlling the means of production". That would be you.

Thersites said...

As for the "corporate fascism" inherent in the media and the culture industry, we're already a fascist nation... THAT battle was lost 80 years ago. All we need now to be "totalitarian" is to complete the "government control" regulatory transition. You know, run EVEYTHING under the Defense Production Act of 1950 and grant permanent presidential war powers in peacetime. Hell, you'd give those to Biden tomorrow, in a heart beat.

The Prophet Dervish Z Sanders said...

I'm opposed to the government controlling the means of production. Biden does not want such powers.

-FJ the Dangerous and Extreme MAGA Jew said...

He doesn't? Who knew?

The Prophet Dervish Z Sanders said...

Invoking the defense production act gives President Joe Biden complete control over all manufacturing? The US is now fully a socialist country? Who knew?

-FJ the Dangerous and Extreme MAGA Jew said...

Yes it does. It's called a "war power". Are we at war?

(((Thought Criminal))) said...

All them tanks and missiles and red flags on parade in from of Stalin back in the Soviet Union days wasn't nationalism because leftists can't be nationalists. ;)

I'm opposed to the government controlling the means of production.

People *are* the means of production, slaver.

The Prophet Dervish Z Sanders said...

All the employees of the the affected companies are now slaves? Gosh, this is much worse than when tRump (using the DPA) ordered employees in meat processing plants to put themselves at bigly risk of catching covid.

Prioritizing the production of green energy products to fight climate change definitely makes Joe Biden a socialist tyrant. Whereas dotard donald's only concern was the American consumer's Constitutional right to as many reasonably priced hamburgers as they want. Who were we AT WAR with when dotard donald invoked the DPA?

Are the affected workers going to sue the Biden administration because their 13th Amendment rights are being violated? Maybe they'd quit, except slaves can't. Given that their servitude is involuntary. Are the profits from these (now nationalized) companies going into the US government coffers?

If any affected worker complains (and maybe tries to take a job with a company that hasn't been nationalized) can the Biden administration use the Fugitive Slave Act to force these workers to return to their old jobs?

Joe Conservative said...

The DPA was invoked under Trump as a COVID pandemic response to get more personal protective equipment (ppe) and respirators. He considered it a "national emergency".

Global warming isn't a national emergency. It's a national joke.

(((Thought Criminal))) said...

If any affected worker complains (and maybe tries to take a job with a company that hasn't been nationalized) can the Biden administration use the Fugitive Slave Act to force these workers to return to their old jobs?

What is this, stupid question central?

People *are* the means of production. A pile of tools aren't going to get the work done by itself. The central tenets of Marxist socialism (the only kind of socialism that seems to matter to leftists) boil down to owning people.

Nobody will be forced to manufacture green energy products. But it's likely that field of manufacturing will have the better paying, government subsidized jobs. Which will probably be better than the prior course - no manufacturing jobs hiring at all.

The economy needs to transition. Love or hate Biden, and I'm not exactly fond of him, but at least he's taking initiative on things that should have started moving in this direction at least 20 years ago.

The Prophet Dervish Z Sanders said...

Global climate change = bigly emergency.

The Prophet Dervish Z Sanders said...

A central tenet of Fascist Capitalism is to make workers wage slaves.

Wage slavery = better (for the wealthy elites) than actual slavery, as the owners have zero responsibility for the welfare of their slaves.

Objectivism = freedom... for the wealthy owners to further enrich themselves by stealing from wage slaves by underpaying them.

A central tenet of Democratic Socialism (the only kind of socialism that matters to Leftists) is to free wage slaves by fighting for a living wage (via minimum wage floors, Unions, worker co-ops, etc).

The Prophet Dervish Z Sanders said...

Minus: it authorizes $370 billion in spending on energy and climate change, $300 billion in deficit reduction... Sounds like a "net" $70 billion add to the deficit.

You forgot the revenue component. As per CBO estimates the Inflation Reduction Act contains 370b in expenditures and 740b in revenue. The difference of 300b will go toward deficit reduction.

What part of taking in more than is spent do YOU not understand?

FYI I got the numbers I quote (which match yours, excepting the revenue figure you "forgot") from a discussion on MSNBC this morning between Ali Velshi and Steve Benen (the producer of The Rachel Maddow Show).

(((Thought Criminal))) said...

Yay tax increases! Why not spending decreases instead?

I mean, government spending *CAUSES* inflation, after all.

Joe Conservative said...

Printing $740b dollars at the Fed isn't a "Revenue" component, dervy.

Joe Conservative said...

Neither is "whishful thinking"

The BMT is a $313 billion tax increase, with half of the increase falling on manufacturers, according to the nonpartisan Joint Committee on Taxation. Despite proponents’ claims, the book minimum tax does not close tax loopholes. The BMT is calculated based on financial statement (“book”) income, which is a different set of rules established for an entirely different purpose than taxable income.

Claims that the BMT closes loopholes ignore the fact that the provisions resulting in different book and tax treatment were specifically enacted by Congress for sound policy reasons. For example, the treatment of capital investments differs for book and tax purposes, in part to encourage companies to invest in capital assets in the United States. As the left-leaning Tax Policy Center acknowledges, the BMT would discourage investment.

According to a study by the National Association of Manufacturers, in 2023 alone the effects would include:

A real GDP reduction of $68.45 billion
218,108 fewer workers in the overall economy
A labor-income decrease of $17.11 billion

Further, the BMT will not prevent large companies from paying zero tax. The energy tax provisions included in the “Inflation Reduction Act of 2022” would permit companies to receive those tax credits in excess of their tax liability. In other words, not only will companies in Democrat-favored industries be able to pay zero tax, some will even be able to receive taxpayer-funded subsidies in excess of tax due for engaging in an activity that has been picked for government handouts.

The Prophet Dervish Z Sanders said...

The Inflation Reduction Act will reduce inflation. The revenue it raises will come from a minimum corporate tax of 15% and a 1% excise tax on stock buybacks.

Why should some corporations pay a 21% tax rate while other highly profitable corporations (like Amazon) pay 0%?

We need MORE tax increases. Like the carried interest tax loophole. Out because of Kyrsten Sinema. She needs to be primaried out of office.

The Prophet Dervish Z Sanders said...

Well, if Manchin and Sinema don't torpedo the bill, Bernie Sanders and the other token progressives will pile on whackadoo amendment after whackadoo amendment until Manchin and Sinema and probably a few more Democrats do torpedo it. They're at war with the free market picking ESG winners and Carbon losers.

Bullshit.

Article you link to: Ford CEO Jim Farley recently stated that he believes that the electric car market is about to enter an intense price war as more affordable models become available. Due to production issues and strong demand, there is nothing close to a price war in the EV market, but Farley believes that is likely to change soon.

"So I believe there will be, our industry is definitely heading to a huge price war", said Farley. He noted that the Mustang Mach-E battery pack alone costs Ford $18,000 to build, a production price that he hopes to lower in coming years.

Free market bringing down prices for electric cars? Minus anti-green energy talking points Ooooops.

Joe Conservative said...

Competition for hoovering up all those government tax credits into profit margins will be intense, no doubt!

EV credit is for individual filers, not corporations. Amazon will not be able to buy a fleet of EVs and get a credit for each.

That's why Amazon will "convert" their trucks to EVs... for up to $40k per vehicle.

-FJ the Dangerous and Extreme MAGA Jew said...

...traditional rental car companies benefit from more than $4 billion in annual tax breaks and subsidies from state governments—thanks to "loopholes and special carve-outs" that aren't available to the newfangled peer-to-peer rental platforms.

The biggest of those loopholes is the simple fact that rental car companies are exempt from paying sales tax when they buy new vehicles. According to a report published this week by NetChoice, that sale tax exemption saved rental car companies more than $3.5 billion last year. In California, where other residents have to pay a 7.25 percent tax on the price of a new car, that tax break saved rental car companies more than $676 million in 2019.

The Prophet Dervish Z Sanders said...

Minus Lied: That's why Amazon will "convert" their trucks to EVs... for up to $40k per vehicle.

Investopedia: The alternative motor vehicle credit is a tax credit given to INDIVIDUALS who purchase vehicles that derive their power from alternative energy sources.

ONLY individual taxpayers can file for the credit.

The Prophet Dervish Z Sanders said...

Non Sequitur.

(((Thought Criminal))) said...

I actually think the bill would be better if it had subsidized the conversion of business fleet vehicles to EVs. Mass production of EVs will bring costs down, and the government can cut wasteful spending programs like Medicare and Social Security and the Department of Education to pay for it.

The Prophet Dervish Z Sanders said...

Those programs will not be cut while Joe Biden is president. If republicans regain power (and have the votes) they can do that. Then lose bigly in the next election.
