Democratic Socialists of America (DSA) - White Supremacy Resurgent!

from Google AI:

Black activists criticized DSA Founder Michael Harrington for prioritizing economic "class-first" socialism over distinct civil rights issues. Prominent leaders argued his approach downplayed systemic anti-Black racism. They also condemned his close ties to labor unions during the 1968 New York City teachers' strike, which pitted white-dominated unions against Black community control initiatives.

Core Criticisms

  • Class Reductionism: Critics argued that Harrington’s economic focus on abolishing poverty erased the unique, lived experience of racial discrimination. They felt his framework reduced all Black suffering to economic inequality.
  • Institutional Alliances: Harrington aligned closely with conservative labor leaders. Black activists viewed these unions as barriers that blocked Black Americans from jobs and fair housing.
  • The 1968 Teachers' Strike: During this strike, Harrington supported the teachers' union. Many Black activists viewed the union's actions as a direct assault on Black self-determination in local schools.
The Core Divide

Harrington believed that racial equality was impossible without first changing the capitalist system. He argued that a multiracial coalition, built primarily around the labor movement, was the only way to achieve lasting social change.

In contrast, Black activists asserted that racism was deeply woven into American society. They argued that focusing solely on class failed to dismantle the white supremacy that existed in all aspects of daily life.

Historical Perspective

Harrington was a civil rights advocate who marched in the South and worked with Bayard Rustin. However, as the 1960s progressed, the Black Power movement emerged. Activists in this movement increasingly rejected the old socialist strategy of making civil rights wait for a broader economic revolution.

Michael Harrington, founder of the Democratic Socialists of America (DSA), was "old" Left.  He was a "Class Essentialist" Marxist of the Catholic Worker Movement (Dorothy Day).  The DSA was a "Class Essentialist" Party of the "old" communist Left.  Most "blacks" of the 50's and 60's were "race essentialists" trying to retain their racial/ cultural identity in a white world born of the "separate but equal" policies preceding Brown v. Board of Education (1954).  When the white and racial essentialist former slave owning and Jim Crow enforcing Democratic Party adopted the black community as a political project during the Civil Rights Movement, the taxonomical classification system advancement of "class" essentialism was abandoned in favor of  a devolution to "race- based" (taxonomical Order based) essentialism.  This was the "split" between old and new Left.  Race/ Order essentialism versus Class essentialism in the KPCOFGS taxonomy and political classification taxonomy.  The "group" that the Democratic Party represented "shrank" on the taxonomical scale.  What was abandoned was the "white" quality component of the former Class essentialist classification grouping.

The Neo-Racist/ Neo-Colonialist White-Shaming of the DSA Begins Today!

from Google AI:
"White shaming" is a social and political term. It describes a tactic where people of European descent are pressured or bullied into feeling guilty for historic or systemic racial injustices. Critics say it forces collective blame on individuals based solely on their race.

To understand "white shaming," it helps to break down two related ideas:

1. White Shame vs. White Guilt
  • White Guilt: This is the negative feeling an individual has about their own actions or unearned privileges regarding racism. Think of it like feeling bad for accidentally taking the last slice of pizza you didn't pay for. You take personal responsibility to fix it.
  • White Shame: This is a deeper, often paralyzing emotion. It attacks a person's entire identity, making them feel flawed just because of who they are. Think of it like being told you are a bad person for simply existing.
2. The Debate
  • The Criticism: Many psychologists argue that shame is counterproductive. When someone feels attacked or bullied, they often get defensive or shut down. Some experts claim "white shaming" causes reverse prejudice and stops real conversations about equality.
  • The Perspective: Others, such as those discussed in research on anti-racist education, believe acknowledging historic or systemic pain is necessary. They believe that if individuals can process these uncomfortable feelings without getting defensive, they can work toward a fairer society.
–Hannah Arendt, "Personal Responsibility Under Dictatorship"
“There is no such thing as collective guilt or collective innocence; guilt and innocence make sense only if applied to individuals.”

MAGA Shaming

“the immigrants who secure rights thanks to the anti-racist anti-colonial struggle might be securing the right to free capitalist enterprise, refusing to see, refusing to ‘open your eyes’, as the angry black yelled at the post-colonial immigrant. This right to free enterprise is another way to capital accumulation powered by the post-colonial entrepreneur: it produces ‘unfree labour’ and racialized class relations in the name of challenging the colonial rule of difference […] There is a closet Ayn Randian class position underpinning the anti-racism of hyperbolic anti-colonialists – it is then not difficult to see that the non-modern, radical alterity upon which the anti-colonial is premised now stands for the capitalist universal.”

The vast majority of White Supremacists are maga. Democratic Socialists oppose White Supremacy.

g00gle AI: ...democratic socialists do not support white supremacy. In fact, democratic socialist ideology is fundamentally opposed to white supremacy. Socialists view racism as a tool used by the ruling class to divide the working class and maintain capitalist power.

Because democratic socialists believe in deep economic and political equality, they actively campaign for the dismantling of white supremacist institutions. Organizations like the Democratic Socialists of America (DSA) explicitly advocate for multiracial working-class solidarity and racial justice as a core part of their political platform.

So what isn't true?

What isn't true is your contention that the racial makeup of an organization dictates what they believe in. Black people are free to join and are welcomed. What matters are the policies and platform/mission statement/statement of beliefs and what they fight for.

The republican party currently supports White Supremacy. The DSA does not.

g00gle AI: According to the Pew Research Center, non-Hispanic White Americans make up approximately 79% of Republican voters.

As per your own logic "republican party so White".

Therefore...

gop = White Supremacy resurgent!

"Democratic Party so Black Identitarian/ Neo-Racist".

No.

Approximately 56% of Democratic voters are white, while minority groups—including Black, Hispanic, Asian, and other non-white voters—make up the remaining 44% of the party.

The 56 percent of the people who vote for the Democratic Party and are white aren't self-hating. They don't want a government with Democrats in control to discriminate against them.

I'm a White Democrat and I don't want anyone discriminated against due to race or ethnicity. Meanwhile, you, as a White magapublican (aka a White "America firster") do want minorities discriminated against. You applaud it.

maga is a White Supremacist movement.

That white shamed 56% imbued with white guilt-pride are the worst self-hating bunch on the planet. Feeling Collective guilt for crimes they never committed. Talk about sheeple.

Whites fighting for black identarians may sound noble to you. To me, it's just cultural suicide/ suicidal empathy.

Did you notice how it was a black democrat that was crying about the "white supremacists" of the DSA? Rich huh. The "white shaming" continues.

Race non-essentialism is a white culture ideal. Post-colonialism is the white-shaming/ white guilt-pride imbuing neo-racist opposite

I feel zero "collective guilt". I only feel guilt for things I have done. I don't feel the least bit guilty for things other people have done. You're the one who should feel guilt, due to being a White Supremacist racist. And I absolutely feel no guilt at all because you're a White Supremacist.

Does absolutely nobody possess this moronic guilt you refer to? Probably not. But it certainly isn't 56% of White Democrats. I don't know what the actual percent might be, but I would guess that it's extremely low. Single digits. Probably less than 1 percent. I could be wrong. But the percent is far, far lower than White rightturds who are racist White Supremacists.

Minus: Whites fighting for black identarians may sound noble to you.

It doesn't. I don't give a sh!t. If someone's identity is tied to being Black I don't care, so long as they don't hate people who aren't like them (as you do). I also don't care that much about "cultural suicide". If someone else wants to be concerned about their culture continuing on, that's fine. I don't think about it very much at all. And don't believe there is any such things as "white culture". White people are originally from many different places and have many different cultures.

Minus: Race non-essentialism is a white culture ideal. Post-colonialism is the white-shaming/ white guilt-pride imbuing neo-racist opposite.

None of that is true. It's surely not a mainstream held belief. Or a belief the Democratic party has. While White Supremacy is a very strongly held belief of magapublicans like you.
