What the Republican party needs is seriously negative consequences. They are necessary due to the party's embrace of fascism and White Supremacy. Hitler brought about very negative consequences for Germany. Hopefully things don't get that bad for the United States. Though things are already pretty bad and bound to get worse.
Except most people don't want the results of imposing fascist White Supremacist theocracy on the United States. Why Republicans are upping the cheating they engage in by redistricting to gain more seats. I expect king donald to maximize voter intimidation using the military. If things look grim for Republicans, elections could be suspended.
But I'm sure you will cheer, given that ending democracy is the exact result you desire.

We're done with the bad results of good intentions. It's time to govern again.

Intention and motivation matters AT LEAST as much. If not actually more. IE:
End the WoT. Simple. Take away his military war powers. You won't. Why? YOU want them in your next turn at leadership. THAT turn is never happening.
Results matter. The rest are just different means to the same ends.
