In May of 1979 I learned a very important lesson about the true nature of the US government. That lesson was (and still is) that, "We can do ANYTHING that we want to do to you. The "official rules" are a lie."
It was the day that for me, the "masks" came off.
I did not receive the "license" that I had earned while attending the USMMA like most of my classmates did on graduation day that June. I had to return to the Administration office a day later and collect it by hand. Such was the action that the Administration thought required to secure an "orderly" graduation ceremony that year... following a round of extra-judicial punishments for insubordination by Midshipman Officers, such as myself. Apparently the Rules were considered "inadequate" to deal with us.
"Leverage" was required.
The International "Rules-Based Order" was ALWAYS a lie.
Trump simply removed its' mask...
