That wasn’t satire. That wasn’t parody. That was a Governor of the largest state in the Nation attempting to equating to his Black Americans saying that he is not smart like they are! And that he gets low test scores and his illiterate like that are! And did he expect them to applaud him for saying a Stupid thing like that? Did he actually think that they were so stupid, and that they would actually cast their voye to him for that stupid theatrical performance? Let’s be clear, there is nothing wrong with not being a perfect, but when a white Governor of the largest State in the Nation stands before a Black audience and says he’s “like” them because he scored low and “he can’t read,” that isn’t humility. That’s a stereotype wrapped in a stupid smile, and degrading his audience to the point of being RUDE!, as well as STRPID! Leadership is not about perfection but it is about competence. It is about judgment. It is about knowing when a joke crosses the line, and when the “Joke” is not funny, and when a line should never have been there to approach in the first place. Americans deserve leaders who uplift without insulting, who connect without stereotyping, and who demonstrate competence without hiding behind gimmicks. Struggling with public speaking is not disqualifying. But equating Black Americans with academic failure while presiding over repeated governance failures? That’s a means for disqualification before he gets out of the box! So who will replace Newsom, NOW THAT HE DESTROYED HIMSELF? Sorry, Gavin.
