Conservatives have no actual solutions to the homeless problem. Except to criminalize homelessness. Is the "solution" to punish people who suffer misfortune and take drugs to escape their misery? How does that help? Minus probably thinks they all need wood shampoos.
I don't see any solutions offered in the video. Just blaming of Democrats. Ted Wheeler, the Portland mayor who "thanked the rioters" is a Republican. Did he thank the rioters? I have no idea. The video offers no proof. No audio of the supposed thank you.
Also (as per the video) tents are erected to "invite homeless to be homeless". Huh? Seems to me that the tents give a homeless person somewhere to sleep. How do they "invite" someone who is ALREADY homeless to be homeless. Are they are MORE homeless in a tent? I'd say they are LESS homeless. In a tent they are shielded from rain and wind.
Instead of fleeing, maybe Walmart and Cracker Barrel could get involved? Perhaps by donating money to programs to help homeless people. I think the saying "if you aren't a part of the solution, you're a part of the problem" applies here.
You obviously LOVE this issue (given that you have posted about it previously). It is an easy topic to beat up Democrats with.
At the end they interview two people representing the "Coalition to save Portland". No info on what their plan is to do this. As per their website "We must discuss solutions". OK, so what are they? I don't see a link to a page where proposed solutions are discussed.
