It never ceases to amaze me the amount of effort that goes into "discrediting libertarianism" without actually touching libertarianism. Usually it's some dumbass, like Derpy, describing the product of socialism (like corporate welfare and bailouts) and calling it "libertarianism." No, dipshit, libertarianism's response to "too big to fail" government-subsidized monopolies would be to say "let it fail. Make popcorn."
Beamishderp's go to strawman is "you don't know what you're talking about". According to him, I probably didn't know what Libertarianism was until after I Googled "Ayn Rand". Then I Googled "Libertarianism".
No. If you had even done that bare minimum you'd realize that wrecking the soup with socialism's sewage then saying "libertarianism can't solve that" will only elicit a "why did you shit on your food" response.
Libertarian thought owes a helluva lot more to Benjamin Spooner, and even Bakunin, Kropotkin, and Tolstoy, before Ayn Rand's platitudes enter the conversation.

Ayn Rand totally supported the theft of other people's work product. As do you. When the "other people" are the actual workers and the thieves are the parasitical rich.
In Ayn Rand's time, the Libertarian Party was split into factions that were alot more pronounced than they are today. And, in many ways she was right. Who can say the candidacies of Russell Means and "Vermin Supreme" weren't publicity-seeking / meme candidacies with no intellectual rigor?

I said I haven't read one of her books cover to cover. I didn't say I've never read anything Rand wrote.
