You're against Trump because he won't fully release the Epstein files, or he's too cozy with Billionaires, or he doesn't care about affordability, he's weaponized the justice system to persecute his political rivals, or he hates the environment, or he's run up the national debt, and he says Ugly Things about Women and Minorities, and on and on and on.... If you folks and your Socialist candidates don't start rallying around one central theme, and pound that message home, you'll have that old Elephant flying over the Whitehouse for a long time to come. Bill Clinton's message was "it's the economy stupid!" - and despite his womanizing ways he won!
No one running in the New York elections ran as a “Communist.” They ran as Progressives in Sheep’s Clothing that were actually “Communist.” ,, Like an abusive anti-immigrant regime, social safety net cuts, and tax hikes for the wealthy.
The attack was boringly familiar to anyone who’s paid attention to U.S. politics for the last 60-plus years. Conveniently for the right, whoever is in charge of the Democratic Party , and most likely Hakeem Jeffries, or, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez who are now the influential voice within the party that IS full of Communism or Socialism. Socialism is always how Communism starts. Socialism, or Communism has never worked, never. And it never will, no matter what Hakeem Jeffries says!
The babbling of a dysfunctional authoritarian minded MAGA sheeple. As he kisses the ass of a malignant narcissist, racist white supremacist, sexual predator and rapist, a "man" who incited an insurrection against our government, a "man" who in reality care only about himself and his wealth and power, and a despicable indecent pile of human rot.
Why do progressive Democrats always elect clowns like Schumer, Booker, and Jeffries? This is a perfect example of a curious subset of Quora questions where even a cursory bit of knowledge shows the premises the question is based on are utterly false.
In this instance, it’s the simple fact that neither Chuck Schumer, Cory Booker nor Hakeem Jeffries were elected by progressives. Schumer and Booker were elected by the voters in New York and New Jersey, and Jeffries was elected by the voters in New York’s 12th Congressional District in Brooklyn.
That’s how elections work: Voters from the various wings of a political party unite behind their party’s candidate, and some voters cross party lines to vote for candidates they believe will most effectively represent their state or district.
On top of that, Chuck Schumer is not a progressive, and not in any definition of that term. In fact, he has been widely criticized by progressives as being emblematic of the old-school Democratic establishment. They view Schumer’s pragmatism as capitulation to the Republicans, and view Schumer’s close ties to Wall Street and the corporations as a direct affront to progressive views. In fact, both Booker and Jeffries have specifically pointed his finger at Schumer as an obstacle to the renewal of the Democratic Party. But in the end call him what you will, he is still and Idiot.
In his last re-election in 2022, Schumer captured 56% of the vote, a sharp decline from his re-election bids in 2016, 2010, and 2004. And that was against a weak Republican challenger with zero political experience.
