I find the links between anti-semitism and racism interesting... especially the way DuBois invokes the 'American' experience (as opposed to Orwell's UK experiences), especially as it relates to "identity".
I came across an interesting observation by Deleuze as well, how in Whitman's day we Americans saw ourselves as more "fragmentary" and with a more "spontaneous comraderie" the Europeans, who saw themselves as more "whole". Our social "relations" (between social fragments) were likely much more salubrious and befitting our national character then, un-totalized by a moralizing elite.

Quite an interesting video Joe. I wonder where the post will head over to, with the replies awaiting the video viewing.

....the loss of distinct "State" identities and its' corresponding "regionalism" has been our undoing.

I restored it from the Spam filter anyways.
Naaaah. Lame spambot. ;-P

Heh... I was played dirty joke, on the internet... by same reason -- everybody like to hear good things about themself. ;-P
Moral is simple -- better be loathed... than falsely adored. ;-P
