I actually think the bill would be better if it had subsidized the conversion of business fleet vehicles to EVs. Mass production of EVs will bring costs down, and the government can cut wasteful spending programs like Medicare and Social Security and the Department of Education to pay for it.
Those programs will not be cut while Joe Biden is president. If republicans regain power (and have the votes) they can do that. Then lose bigly in the next election.
