Progressive Populism's New White Knight?

Bigger Government Answers to Social Dysfunction

But the real questions is, how long will it take for the DNC establishment to swoop in and paint the former Minnesota Governor as a Mini-Putin puppet so as to prevent a Joe Biden humiliation and the end of the Democratic Party?

  1. I'd take him over Dotard, that's for sure. But he has no chance. Bernie Sanders knows this. It is why he ran for the Democratic nomination. Apparently Jesse doesn't understand that running for president isn't the same as running for governor. Is he your 2020 spoiler champion?

  2. No, the Reform Party learned NOTHING from Ross Perot's run...

    lol!

  3. Did it help Arthur/ Joker?

Life is a comedy... yours being the proof.

  4. Are you saying you are beyond help? I think you may be right. Although you never know unless you try. As for me, I only laugh at things that are funny. Unlike you.

  5. -s Arthur said, "Funny is socially determined and therefore relative". Thats why nobody laughs with Colbert... they laugh AT him.

  6. I know I tune in to Colbert (the highest rated nighttime talk show host) to laugh WITH him (and AT Dotard). Everyone else who watches tunes in to laugh AT him... as per what survey/poll? You must be relying on your mind-reading abilities (given your disbelief in polls). I had no idea your powers were so great... that you could read the minds of millions of people at once.

  7. ... as per what survey/poll? The survey poll of people who don't watch him, which greatly exceeds those who do.

  8. There is no such survey. ALL television programs have more people not watching than watching. That is more true now (with so many channels and programs) than ever before. It doesn't mean all who don't watch are laughing at him. By your logic the American people are laughing bigly at OAN. Even though most who are not watching probably don't even know it exists. If they did I am sure a high percentage WOULD laugh.

  9. Sure there is. It's called a Nielson rating.

  10. Nielsen TV ratings "seek to determine the audience size and composition" of various TV programs. Nielsen does not ask people if they laugh AT or WITH the hosts of late night TV talk shows.

The FACT of the matter is that Stephen Colbert's Nielsen ratings told his bosses that he was doing an OUTSTANDING job. Why they extended his contract.

Stephen Colbert Signs a New "Late Show" Deal Through 2023. (10/17/2019 article excerpt) CBS announced on Thursday that it had agreed to a contract extension with Mr. Colbert that will keep him as the host of "The Late Show" through August 2023. ... The move was a no-brainer for CBS. Mr. Colbert is, by far, the most-watched late-night host. ... Mr. Colbert won the 2018-19 season in the demographic of adults under 50 prized by advertisers, narrowly beating Mr. Fallon in that category. [end excerpt]

  11. Over 320 million people tune Colbert O-U-T every weeknight.

    That's 99% of all Americans.

  14. By your (moronic) logic Americans are tuning out almost every single program on TV. Including Fox and OAN (whose ratings must be extremely small). So why hasn't the TV entertainment industry gone out of business yet? Or transitioned to showing all football all the time?

  15. Because Internet and streaming models are imitating them instead of creating a new one based on 3 quasi-monopolies.

  16. Why are advertisers paying for ads if everyone is tuning out the programs the ads air on? Me, I think it's because they do research into how effective their ads are (and wouldn't be paying if the ads were ineffective). You apparently think it's because they like throwing away money advertising on programs people are tuning out. Of course that makes no sense, but magaturd "alternative facts" usually don't.

As for streaming services, obviously people aren't tuning out those programs. No ability to "tune out" when you're paying to have it delivered to your home. Yet (with most of the country not watching) they are still able to stay in business. How do you make money without subscribers?

  17. They pay because targeting ads to the stupid people in Colbert's audience pays off. Stupid people don't save money. They spend it.

  18. Colbert rounds up all the idiots and delivers them as a bundle to corporate advertisers.

    ReplyDelete
  19. That is what Fox News does. As acknowledged by Dotard ("I love the poorly educated"). Colbert targets smart people with disposable income. The people who voted for Hillary.

  20. The smug know-nothing elites who disdain those who live in non-coastal fly-over country.

  21. You don't have to be that smart, elite, or coastal to realize that Dotard is an idiot and a terrible president. As terrible a president as he was a businessman. Now we're all "winning" as Dotard did when he bankrupted multiple casinos and lost more money than any taxpayer in US history.

If paying attention and recognizing the obvious makes someone a smug elite, then I'm definitely a smug elite (otherwise I'm definitely not). As for know-nothings, most of them voted for Dotard.

  22. Yes, you're one of the "know everythings" (except your ass from a hole in the ground). When does the Democratic Party name change to "New Black Pander Party" become official? In Houston when Biden gives his pre-recorded eulogy at the George Floyd travelling funeral show? I hope that they hired those coffin dancers for the big send-off.

  23. The Biden 2020 slogan, "You ain't black unless you vote for Ole Fingerbang Joe,"

  24. Joe Biden isn't going to start calling himself "fingerbang". And I'm going to pass on joining the "mug club" :P
