I think you might enjoy this insight into Daoism... at the end... when the "absence" of Identity fuels a new commitment to genuinely pretending a temporary "profilic" identity.
btw - Don't ya think that most Christians today are simply "pretending" to be Christians, some more "fundamentally" than others? The only REAL Christian was Christ, after all. the rest can't perform "miracles".
In other words, I think your general characterization of Christianity is a bit "Identitarian" biased. Like most people's impressions of Moslems as "radical fundamentalists". I think we can both agree that it is the "radical fundamentalists" (xtian/moslem/jews) that are the problem, not the "genuinely pretending "meden agan" adherents.
