Your comment has nothing to do with my comment. I commented on YOUR subject. Your comment has nothing to do with your own post subject. If Tom Massie is an "American hero" for holding up the legislation, what does that make Dotard?
btw, I've never claimed Obama is the Greatest Of All Time. That's what Dotard claims about himself (with his brainwashed cultists backing him up). When the truth is that Dotard is the GOAT only when it comes to bad presidenting. And I would definitely agree he is the blame shifting GOAT.
Trump Blames Lack of Hospital Masks on Obama. (excerpt) Shortly before Trump's inauguration, the Obama administration held a high-level briefing with incoming Trump officials to prepare them for a pandemic. ... The coronavirus threat was raised by Trump's advisers in January. The fact they are scrambling to prepare hospitals now — when the crisis is already underway — is a devastating indictment. And Trump's attempt to blame a president who left office more than three years ago for his failure to act two months ago might be his most pathetic blame-shirking yet. [end except]
Who is to blame? The answer is CLEARLY Dotard and NOT Obama.
Democrats didn't get hoodwinked. The bill would be very different if it were up to them alone. Unfortunately they had to compromise with the republicans -- whose first priority is (as always) helping the wealthy. Are you saying you agree with Jimmy Dore that the bill should have included a UBI? (I ask that sarcastically).
Democrats would not have offered a bill that would have paid illegal immigrants a UBI. Illegal immigrants are getting nothing, even though they pay taxes. AOC is one Democrat. She has no ability to dictate her desires to the rest of the Democratic Party.
As for your means-tested UBI, can you name ONE republican who has advocated for it? I haven't heard Dotard voice any concern for the poorest among us. In fact one of his goals as predisent is punishing poor people as much as possible.
If Dotard said anything of the sort he was lying. Just like he lied when he said (prior to the 2018 midterms) that there was going to be a middle class tax cut. Dotard is a pathological liar. Not that you gave me any quotes. I'm sure I'd have heard about it on the news. If he had said such a thing the Democrats would have jumped on it and strongly voiced their agreement. You must be referring to one of your delusions.
The article you link to concerns the $1200 ONE TIME check slammed by Jimmy Dore. It isn't a UBI. Is Yang trying to encourage (via flattery) Dotard to advocate for a UBI? If so he's wasting his time. Doesn't hurt to try, I suppose. But it's not going to happen.
Dotard only wants to CRUSH the poor. He certainly does NOT want to help them. If you believe otherwise -- you're more delusional than I thought. Maybe this is another lie he'll toss out hoping to get some poorly educated and very gullible people to vote for him...
You can stick your "LOL" up your ass. That article was written BEFORE the last coronavirus stimulus bill passed and was signed by Dotard. A bill you criticized him for signing. It did not include a UBI. Did the Daily Caller article title fool you?
I won't be getting a check either. As for your "it didn't", a UBI is a recurring thing. A one time check isn't a UBI. So, NO it didn't happen. And the 1200 check is something those who get it can thank the Democrats for. Republicans are more concerned with bailing out big corporations (without oversight).
Quote: [Universal] Basic income... is a governmental public program for a periodic payment delivered to all on an individual basis without means test or work requirement. [end quote]
YOU posted the Jimmy Dore video in which he says there should be a strike until we get a UBI. AND he criticizes the 1200. Even though (according to you) the 1200 IS a UBI. Although you also say Massie is an "American hero" for holding up the legislation while also (now) praising Dotard for signing it. Your strategy to "win" an argument seems to be to take ALL the positions (each one when it suits you).
Define UBI. I define it to mean what the words mean, ergo, no lie. Every one under an existing income threshold and subject to certain citizenship requirements (universally) will receive a payment of basic income. You define the terms as "repetitive" and "for life". I don't. THAT meaning is not EXCLUSIVELY "in the words".

Bullshit: "Here's how the Silicon Valley dream became a policy plank for Andrew Yang and now Donald Trump". (TOTAL bullshit).
Quote (from your linked article) "Spain is moving to establish a permanent basic income in the wake of the coronavirus pandemic for low-income citizens".
Let me know when America does the same. If it ever happens it will be a Democratic initiative, not a Republican one. In any case, you clearly stated that you OPPOSE a UBI. You said it's inflationary. btw, the 1200 stimulus check is being handled by the IRS as a rebate on people's 2020 IRS filings. The 1200 isn't a UBI or even a "short term UBI". It isn't a UBI at all. No matter how many "lame stream media" articles you can find that say so.

Dotard signed the bill.
Your goat Obama caused all the mask shortages… but hey, at least CDC has no shortage of Diversity Consultants!

As for your comment, Dotard has been president for 3 years. The CDC warned of a coming pandemic two years ago. WHO was president 2 years ago? Hint: It wasn't Obama.

Trump Sent Nearly 17.8 Tons of Medical Supplies to China After First Coronavirus Case in the U.S. When Shortages Hit, He Blamed Obama.

Massie is one of the few who wasn't fooled by the no-skin-in-the-game "experts". Yes, Trump got hoodwinked... along with EVERY Democrat.
Obama decided we didn't need PPE for medical personnel and spent the money on out-of-date vaccines for flu that has long since mutated.
Dotard decided we didn't need PPE and sent 17.8 tons of it to China. Dotard did that, not Obama.

When you shut a country down, yes, it should have included a means-tested UBI.

DJT.
He drew the line at income of $1 million.

lol!
That's exactly what Andrew Yang did!
And THAT's only the start...

It didn't? Then I suppose you will be returning your corona check.
Me, I make too much money too much money to collect one. https://bgr.com/2020/04/06/coronavirus-stimulus-checks-who-gets-one-who-doesnt/

The UBI wasn't the only part of the $2-6 trillion bailout. And this is a different argument exposing your lies.
The stimulus bill does not contain a UBI. It isn't a part of it at all. You're the liar, not me.

I'm for means testing. Milionaires don't need government handouts.
They need to pay higher taxes.
