The Baltimore Police Department is investigating a purported assault on a man who appears to have been hit in the back of the head with a brick, according to local media.
On Sunday around 6:40 p.m., police responded to the 100 block of Hamburg St. in the Sharp-Leadenhall neighborhood for report of an assault, along with a backup unit. When officers arrived, there was not a victim on the scene, police said. Medics who also canvassed the scene did not locate a victim, according to an incident report.
Officers later observed a “pool of blood” on a sidewalk nearby the area, according to the incident report.
A witness, who refused to give their name or address, told police that the incident stemmed from a “loud argument” between two men, according to the report. One man began to walk away and then the other man picked up two bricks and struck him in the back of the head, the witness said, and then ran away traveling northbound by foot towards the Sharp Leadenhall apartments, according to the incident report.
A video of the incident began circulating on social media as of Monday morning — an Instagram post reacting with laughter, including the hashtags “#WhiteLivesDoNotMatter” and “#BlackLivesMatter.”
Just more race based violence against white people that we can all pretend isn’t happening

"A witness, who refused to give their name or address, told police that the incident stemmed from a loud argument between two men".
ReplyDeleteTwo men argue, one criminally assaults the other. Who says race was a factor? You wouldn't be posting this if it were two White men.
So I can slam the back of your head with two bricks and no one will Care? Good to know.
ReplyDeleteMatt Walsh (person who tweeted this video) says it is an example of "race based violence". That is what I was responding to. I asked you what the proof that the motivation was race is. Mind reading?
ReplyDeletelol! What proof do you have the the police are targeting black men? Mind reading?
ReplyDeleteThat's where people need to have a little caritas. That caritas goes two ways. You excuse this guy because of an alleged argument. I excuse the police because the people that die resist arrest. See how that works?
ReplyDeleteI didn't excuse him. He's clearly guilty of either assault, attempted murder, or murder. Unless the video was staged. The person shooting it might be able to be charged with a crime as well. For not warning the person who was assaulted.
ReplyDeleteI never said police were "targeting" Black men. I said some are using lethal force when they shouldn't be. The proof is unarmed dead Black men. And White guys too. But they're disproportionately Black.
Yes, but not every cop can strong arm a muscular perp into submission. Hence the need to obey police instructions or pay with your life. If they know that lethal force won't be applied, EVERY perp would resist...especially if the cop is a little 110# girl. Are you saying we should discriminate in the police and NOT hire 110# girls?
ReplyDeleteps - and much of the time, the perp who died (George Floyd) did it ALL to himself... including taking the drugs he OD'd on.
ReplyDeleteNo, the police should absolutely not hire girls. Only women and men. Both who have the proper training and go through a background check (stop hiring officers that were fired by other PDs). And George Floyd didn't put his own knee on his neck and choke the life out of himself. That's a moronic assertion. btw, I'd still hold the cops (at least partially) responsible if that is what happened. For standing by and doing nothing. But that isn't what happened. George Floyd was under the officer's control. Yet he murdered him anyway.
ReplyDeleteRun = get shot in the back. Allow yourself to be handcuffed = choked to death.
You missed the latest. Knee on the neck is the preferred method.
ReplyDeleteGeorge Floyd OD'd al by his lonesome. At least he had company.
Chauvin's police manual told him to keep his knee on a suspect's neck way after the suspect stopped breathing? To make good and sure the suspect was dead? It was "murder by the book"? Is that what you're saying? For some reason I doubt it. His family is going to get a large settlement.
ReplyDeleteQuote (from the page you linked to): "If he were found dead at home alone and no other apparent causes, this could be acceptable to call an OD".
He wasn't found at home. Lots of people have put drugs into their system and don't die. btw, it's OK for the police to kill people if they have preexisting conditions? It wasn't my bullet that killed him, but his weak heart? What bullshit.
The world's smallest violin is playing just for you.... Awwwwww! lol"
ReplyDeleteI was responding to the content of the page you linked to, idiot. There is no "poor me" in my prior comment. George Floyd and his family are the ones who were wronged. I don't know them.
ReplyDeleteThey'll get a settlement all right, but they don't deserve a penny for that idiot's suicide in the presence of cops.
ReplyDeleteThere was no "suicide". If it were a suicide (and it wasn't) it was assisted by the cops. Not in their "presence". They were all just standing around doing nothing? Wondering why George Floyd was bothering them while they were on break?
ReplyDeleteFloyd had a lethal dose of fentanyl in his system. The cops didn't "plant it" there. It was self-inflicted, no matter how finely you cut it.
ReplyDeleteFox 9 The Armed Forces Medical Examiner filed a memorandum agreeing with the Hennepin County Medical Examiner's final conclusion that Floyd's death was a homicide, saying, “His death was caused by the police subdual and restraint in the setting of severe hypertensive atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease, and methamphetamine and fentanyl intoxication".
ReplyDeletelol! from your source:
ReplyDeleteHowever, two other memos filed Tuesday from the Hennepin County Attorney’s Office about conversations with Chief Hennepin County Medical Examiner Dr. Andrew Baker paint a different picture about the nature of Floyd’s death.
In one memorandum filed May 26 after a virtual meeting with Baker, the Attorney’s Office said Baker concluded, “The autopsy revealed no physical evidence suggesting that Mr. Floyd died of asphyxiation.” Baker told the attorney his investigation was incomplete pending a toxicology report, however.
The other memorandum filed June 1 by the Attorney’s Office indicated Baker said Floyd’s level of fentanyl was “pretty high,” and a potentially “fatal level.”
Experts agree to disagree.
ReplyDeleteI believe the "Chief Hennepin County Medical Examiner" over "the attorney's office". You seem to think that there being commodities means you can attribute death to the cause of your choice. Even though if he had not been restrained he almost certainly would have lived. He was going into stores and purchasing items, not tripping out at home (in a stupor or unconscious). Apparently nobody even knew he had fentanyl in his system until the medical examination. I'm not buying "fatal levels".
ReplyDeleteGood for you. I'd believe Micky Mouse before I'd believe you about ANY subject.
ReplyDeleteI'm not the Chief Hennepin County Medical Examiner.
ReplyDeleteNo, you are not.
ReplyDeleteI pointed out that it was the Chief Hennepin County Medical Examiner who determined that George Floyd's death was a homicide. A fact regardless of whether or not you believe me. Since you refuted me (??) and not him, I take it you agree that George Floyd was murdered?
ReplyDeleteAnd I pointed out that other experts disagreed with his flawed opinion.
ReplyDeleteSo no, I assert that the Chief Medical Examiner was more interested in keeping his job than stating the truth.
ReplyDeleteHis job IS to state the truth. And I will believe an expert in the human body over an expert in the law when it comes to cause of death. That's an easy call.
ReplyDeleteThen you are a fool who doesn't ask, "qui bono?"
ReplyDeleteWhat the f*ck does that have to do with the medical examiner's determination? Nothing. And nobody was convicted of the crime. Except (potentially) the murdering police officer. What did he have to gain? According to you he's going to get a high-paying Blackwater/Zee job and a hot trophy wife.
ReplyDeleteThe medical examiner doesn't worry about BLM protestors demanding his firing to the mayor? Who knew?
ReplyDeleteNobody knows if he was worried about that. Excepting mind readers like you. I seriously doubt that factored into his findings, however.
ReplyDeleteThat would depend upon his actual competence as an ME.
ReplyDeleteSurely it is higher than your competence as one. Or anyone from the attorney's office, where (I assume) they all have law degrees instead of medical degrees. Even if someone in the attorney's office as a medical degree, they didn't examine the body. Has anyone even questioned his competency, or do you ONLY question it because you don't like that he determined the cause of death was homicide?
ReplyDeleteMy name's not Shirley and I'm free of the external pressures that influence an ME's judgement. In other words, I don't need to wear glasses to observe reality.
ReplyDeleteAlternative facts = Alternative reality. What you believe to be true has little to do with the reality we all actually live in.
