Wrong. They recommend social distancing and that people over 70 stay home. As a result their death rate is much higher than in surrounding countries. Also, I've read they are worried, with the coming warm weather, people will break social distancing guidelines -- and they are prepared to put a lock down in place.
Quote: "The question is not whether you become immune, it's how long for", said Paul Hunter, a professor in medicine at the University of East Anglia. He added: "It almost certainly will not last for life". [end quote]
Some individual Swedes may temporarily be immune. As a people The Swedes are NOT immune.
Quote: Dr. Mike Ryan, the WHO's top emergencies expert, said... the country [Sweden] also ramped up testing and had adequate capacity in hospitals to handle any outbreaks. [end quote]
So, what they did was accept that more people would die but also ramp up testing. We know republicans are FINE with lots of people dying, but they REFUSE to do the testing. YOU say "fuck testing", so your praise for Sweden is based on what your delusions say they are doing, NOT what they are actually doing.
They didn't have Deep State labs fucking up and contaminating the tests. Your government workers are incompetent buffoons that need to have their asses FIRED!
Originally, only federal labs were allowed to perform the test and make test kits. If Trump hadn't lifted THAT restriction, we wouldn't have but imported test kits todays.
"Thank you" for something you don't even think we should be doing? And your linked to article proves no "deep state" conspiracy.
Justin Discigil, spokesman for Crenshaw... added: "Just to be clear – nowhere did we say that these regulations were the sole/only reason for the testing issue, we said that they created barriers".
As per your linked article "During a public health emergency, labs and drug manufacturers must seek an Emergency Use Authorization from the FDA to use diagnostic tests and medical treatments that have not gone through the typical clearance process — to share them faster in the emergency. ...These authorizations were begun in 2004 under President George W. Bush...".
We shouldn't have a clearance process? Who cares if the tests actually work? And what's the issue with imported tests? At least to bridge the gap. Anyway, like I said, Dotard should have used the defense production act to ramp up the manufacture of these test kits. No "thank you" for doing that, since he (stupidly) hasn't.
btw, you whine about Big Pharma potentially profiting from a vaccine, but praise Dotard for private industry profiting from making tests? What's the difference?
Because everything is all about YOU. Who cares about anyone else.
And your claim that "the labs also contaminated all the test kits that they produced" is false.
Quote: The CDC facilities that assembled the initial testing kits "violated sound manufacturing practices, resulting in contamination of one of the three test components used in the highly sensitive detection process"... [end quote]
The contamination occurred only in the INITIAL TESTING KITS. According to Pence "faulty CDC coronavirus test kits were fixed in early February".
Just a sensible business as usual.

"The question is not whether or not you become married, it's how long for." "It almost certainly will not last for life."
ReplyDeleteSome individual Swedes may be permanently immune. These Swede ARE immune.
Is kryptonite their only weakness?
ReplyDeleteKryptonite has no effect on them.
ReplyDelete...just like penicillin has no effect on your STDs.
ReplyDeleteThe "kryptonite" reference was me saying you're full of shit.
ReplyDeleteThe penecillin was me saying, "back atcha!"
ReplyDeleteIn both instances you don't know wtf you're talking about.
ReplyDeleteThe WHO is now lauding Sweden for their effective Corona virus response. America looks the fool...
ReplyDeleteGreenday was right. We are American idiots!
ReplyDeleteAmerica UNDER Dotard.
ReplyDeleteIsn't the WHO corrupt?
ReplyDeleteQuote: Dr. Mike Ryan, the WHO's top emergencies expert, said... the country [Sweden] also ramped up testing and had adequate capacity in hospitals to handle any outbreaks. [end quote]

ReplyDelete...and yes, the WHO is a no skin in the game joke. But at least they can read the writing on the wall. Corona is as deadly as a bad cold.
ReplyDeleteps The only people who gain from more testing is Big Pharma. They don't save ANY lives. China stopped testing months ago.
ReplyDelete"They didn't have Deep State labs fucking up and contaminating the tests".
ReplyDeleteNow labs are "deep state"?? Your paranoia is out of control. You need help.
Originally, only federal labs were allowed to perform the test and make test kits. If Trump hadn't lifted THAT restriction, we wouldn't have but imported test kits todays.
ReplyDeleteThankyou Mr. President....
True

F*ck you, Mr. predisent.
ReplyDeleteRegs weren't the sole reson because the labs also contaminated all the test kits that they produced.
ReplyDeleteAs for vaccines, I've never had a flu shot... and never will get one. I've a healthy immune system. :)
Because everything is all about YOU. Who cares about anyone else.

Thanks for confirming my statement as TRUE.
ReplyDeleteI didn't. btw, Trump falsely claims he "inherited" the faulty coronavirus test. It was developed this year. It was the CDC under the Dotard administration that screwed up the INITIAL TESTING KITS. Yet another example of Dotard not taking responsibility for what takes place under his own administration!
