How Bernie Sanders Made $Millions Running for President in 2016

“Bernie over the course of his 30-plus years in public office has funneled huge sums of money to his family. That includes hiring family members even when it was not justified in the Burlington city governments. But more specifically, the 2016 campaign, there was this mysterious media-buying company called Old Town Media (OTM) that was set up.

They funneled $83 million through this media-buying company, which was located in a house on a cul-de-sac in suburban Virginia,” he continued. “Had no website, had no presence whatsoever. That company was run by two of Bernie Sanders’ wife’s friends. When she was asked about her connection or relationship to that firm, she hung up on a local Vermont reporter. So there are various ways taxpayer money, school money other things that have flowed to the family and have made the Sanders family very very wealthy. Source)”

Ad buys confirm that OTM collects a 15% commission on ad buys, so the firm has made in excess of 7 million dollars in commission from the Bernie 2016 account since Senator Sanders announced his candidacy (Source).

  1. Donald Trump and the Case of the $107,000,000. (5/15/2018 Rolling Stone article excerpt)... Concerns over how the [DJT inaugural] committee's money was used began to gain traction in the summer of 2017, and after the tax return was filed in February, the NYT reported that the majority of the $107 million was used for overinflated administrative expenses, as well as to pay four separate event-planning firms. One of those firms, WIS Media Partners, was created only six weeks prior to the inauguration by Stephanie Winston Wolkoff, a close friend of Melania Trump. The firm received close to $26 million from the inaugural committee...

...the Center for Responsive Politics reported that $1 million of the money gifted to the inaugural committee came from conservative legal activists who have since wielded influence over the Trump administration's process for nominating federal judges. The donation came via a Virginia company called BH Group, LLC, which appears to have been established solely to mask the real source of the money.

...two members of the inaugural committee have been convicted of financial crimes, and that the committee's treasurer was reportedly a co-conspirator in an accounting fraud case. [end quote].

  2. Yes, if Bernie gets elected, he's sure to make millions off his inaugural.

  3. btw - President-elect Donald Trump didn't need $100 million of his money to win the White House in the end. Trump contributed another $10 million to his presidential campaign in the closing days of the election, bringing his total investment in the race to $66.1 million, new filings confirm.

Did Bernie spend $7 million+ on his own election? Didn't think so.

  4. Dotard spent Putin's money. He's the one backing the Deutsch bank loans. Also, it was an investment. He's made it back many times over (stealing from inaugural funds, stealing from election funds, emoluments violations, cutting his own taxes, changing tax law specifically to benefit those in real estate, etc).

How Donald Trump Shifted $1.1M Of Campaign-Donor Money Into His Business, Forbes 12/6/2018.

The Lie of Trump's "Self-Funding" Campaign, The Atlantic 5/13/2016. (excerpt) [regarding Dotard's spending his own money] ...whether you call that self-funding is a judgment call. For one thing, a good chunk of the money that Trump's campaign is spending is actually going right back to companies controlled by Donald Trump, as payment for services rendered. ...

About $2.7 million ... was paid to at least seven companies Mr. Trump owns or to people who work for his real estate and branding empire, repaying them for services provided to his campaign. That total included more than $2 million for flights on his own planes and helicopter, a quarter of a million dollars to his Fifth Avenue office tower, and even $66,000 to Keith Schiller, his bodyguard and the head of security at the Trump Organization.

...Trump is in effect taking millions of dollars out of one pocket and depositing it into another. [Additionally] ...the money Trump has "spent" on his campaign has been not in the form of donations to his campaign, but in the form of loans. As Trump ... knows well, the thing about loans is that you've got to pay them back, unless of course the lender forgives them. [end excerpt]

This time around I suspect a LOT more money will be shifted from the Dotard campaign to the Dotard organization. Given the fact that he started raising money (declared his candidacy for a second term) the day after the inauguration. Certainly there will be NO self funding this time. Additionally he uses government resources to campaign (in violation of the law).

  5. Maybe you should forward your post to Adam Schiff so that he can include these accusations in his Impeachment articles... I've heard his Senate case was wearing a bit "thin". :)

  6. I commented. The POST is yours. Maybe you should forward it to Toady Barr. Maybe he is already investigating Bernie Sanders, however. Lev Parnas says he was aware of what Lev was doing (re the crimes he and Rudy were involved in at the direction of predisent Dotard). Clearly it's a part of Dotard's 2020 strategy to dirty up the potential Democratic opponent (and Bernie is doing well in the polls currently).

Obviously Toady Barr is involved (re Dotard using the power of the presidency to cheat). As opposed to doing his job representing the American people. Toady Barr should certainly be investigated by the next Democratic administration. Then tried, convicted and sent to prison.

As for the Senate case, I've heard Putin's puppets (the entire House GOP) is going to ignore the overwhelming evidence that DEMANDS Dotard be removed from office for high crimes and "acquit" him. The "trial" is going to be a total farce, in other words.

  7. I don't think that Barr has too much to worry about. After the Impeachment hoax, no Democrat will have a chance at election for another 20 years.

  8. Dotard's "impeachment hoax" is a hoax. And not a very good one. T-shirts that say "read the transcript"? The one he released which shows the high crime of bribery... "do us a favor, though". Dotard's impeachable offenses and his (and the GOP) going with Russian conspiracy theories as a "defense" is what should prevent any republic from being elected for the next 50 years.

    ReplyDelete
  9. btw - The crime would be "soliciting a bribe". Trump didn't bribe anyone. You can't even get your crimes right. lol!

    ReplyDelete
  10. So you acknowledge the crime. You simply don't care. Not that I didn't already know that.

    ReplyDelete
  11. I acknowledge the crime of bribery NOT committed by Trump, and the non-crime of Trump asking for favours.

    ReplyDelete
  12. We know he asked for a "favor" (for himself) then held the aid (which he had no authority to do). CAUGHT RED HANDED! An impartial jury would convict him. Unfortunately the entire GOP has decided to act as stooges for Putin.

    ReplyDelete
  13. lol! In reality, not CNN fantasy zones, the Democrats are the one's tearing the country apart like good little Putin stooges...

    ReplyDelete
  14. Your "reality" is an alternate reality. One where trumper fantasy (much of it fabricated at Putin's direction) is substituted for concrete facts. The FACT that the bots and the fake news Russian-based/owned sources ALL support the Dotard narrative proves (beyond any doubt what-so-ever) how full of shit you are.

    ReplyDelete
  15. The Democrat's aren't impeaching Trump? Who knew?

    ReplyDelete
  16. The political divisions in the country are the Democrats fault for not ignoring Dotard working to steal the 2020 election? F*ck off.

    ReplyDelete
  17. I don't know what you're saying. You think Dotard has it in the bag? That is bullshit. Cheating put him over the top in the last election. This time he'll need even more help from Russia, given his performance as potus (not the economy's performance). Which is dismal. The guy is a total joke on display for the entire world to see. The ONLY way Dotard can win is to cheat (and get help cheating).

  18. Bernie 2020... tied to his Senate chair by !ancy 0elosi so that Biden can have a 0.00001 % chance to run unopposed in the General.

    Bring on the witnesses!

    ReplyDelete
  19. Unopposed? The republic party will give up (not field a nominee) if Dotard is impeached? They wouldn't go with Pence? Why not?

    ReplyDelete
  20. Evangelicals would vote for him. It is the reason he was added to the ticket. Why the f*ck do you think he was chosen? Other than for his excellent work as a boot-licking sycophant.

    ReplyDelete
  21. Evangelicals aren't that stupid. He's just a sychophant like most pols in DC.

    ReplyDelete
  22. Evangelicals ARE that stupid. They think Dotard was selected by God. Ask the moron who calls himself "Mystere".

    ReplyDelete
  23. G_d does not involve himself in our petty squabbles.

    ReplyDelete
  24. I agree with you. Both about God and about Mystere being an idiot.

    ReplyDelete
  25. You are out of step with a large block of Dotard supporters. Dotard "I am the chosen one" Drumpf also disagrees with you.

    ReplyDelete
  26. You know this because you monitor his thought waves... lol!
