The Numbers Don’t Lie, Adelkoff’s 1736 Family Crisis Center pulled in $907,923 for her in 2023 and another $742,181 in 2024. Add it up and you get more than $1.6 million over two years for the head of an organization with about $15 million in annual revenue. The next-highest earner at the nonprofit, the finance director, made $206,000. Not a typo. Adelkoff made roughly eight times what her own finance chief did.
Her defenders say it’s not what it looks like. Adelkoff claims her base salary has held steady around $405,000 for years, and that the huge payouts were really decades of accrued vacation time finally getting cashed out before her retirement. The center’s attorney backs that story, saying the board worked with legal and financial advisers to clear the liability “off the books”.
