Zizek Explains what the Left Pathologically Denies

...and yes, their denials are PATHOLOGICAL!

The New Identity Politics pits Sincerity up against the Raumdeutung duo of Authenticity and Profilicity.

...and yes, Sincere A-holes beat Fake No-Skin-in-the-Game Gazefully-Correct Amateurs & Experts 8 days a week.

btw- Did you notice how Slavoj's 'sex' example directly contradicts his 'war-communism' example?  The first eliminates Super Ego, the 2nd Essentializes it.  The first ignores the experts, the second radically embraces their Gaze-full leadership.  I'm inclined towards the 1st example.  It satisfies the direct motivational sincerity inherent in jouissance and then allows one to focus on the sincerity inherent in one's surplus jouissance.

Our Profilic Gaze today radically incorporates 2nd order (Super Ego level) observation.  Sincerity allows one to ignore this new Internet Era profilic 2nd-Order "necessity" entirely and focus, once again, on the Ego experience.  One needn't continually 'question' one's Identity that way.  That would only happen in moments of "Authentic" reflection.  If we could all simply remain 'sincere', our obsessive fixation on 24 hour news cycles would also go away as we would no longer have to put ourselves into context with the entire Universe surrounding us.  The Cinematic Gaze required would simply disappear were it not habitually, then pathologically reinforced (by FOMO and one's curated Internet Persona).

...Luke 10:38-42 (KJV)
38 Now it came to pass, as they went, that he entered into a certain village: and a certain woman named Martha received him into her house.

39 And she had a sister called Mary, which also sat at Jesus' feet, and heard his word.

40 But Martha was cumbered about much serving, and came to him, and said, Lord, dost thou not care that my sister hath left me to serve alone? bid her therefore that she help me.

41 And Jesus answered and said unto her, Martha, Martha, thou art careful and troubled about many things:

42 But one thing is needful: and Mary hath chosen that good part, which shall not be taken away from her.
