Nothing says 'democracy' like restricting who gets on the ballot.
And nothing is more democratic than banning the leading candidate because the European Union technocrats disagree with him. Nothing says "protecting democracy" better than a bunch of bureaucrats carefully vetting candidates to ensure that they will give those bureaucrats all the power to make the most important decisions. Because bureaucrats, not stupid voters, know best.DEMOCRACY? Romania, under pressure from the EU, has disqualified Calin Georgescu’s candidacy for president as he is critical of both NATO and the EU. The previous election he was leading was annulled to prevent him from winning. Now he's being kept off the ballet despite leading… pic.twitter.com/giHA7pFklzIF that is the case, the European Union just got a lot more democratic. So democratic, in fact, that they may just decide to dispense with national elections in just the way that the European Union Parliament gets very little say in actual EU policy--it's left to the European Council which is "elected" as a slate by the Parliament and never faces the voters themselves.
— @amuse (@amuse) March 9, 2025I know that many dreamers out there still live in a fantasy world where the Europeans are the good guys dedicated to freedom and Western values, but that is becoming less and less true over time. Sure, the EU is happy enough to allow the population to vote, as long as they vote the "right" way. If they threaten to exceed the Overton Window set by the technocrats--the transnational elite--the elections can be canceled until the "right" candidates are put on the ballot.Romanian protesters have taken to the streets to contest the government’s ban on Calin Georgescu’s candidacy. pic.twitter.com/iA800USA1p
— Ian Miles Cheong (@stillgray) March 9, 2025Romania has banned right-wing nationalist Calin Georgescu from running for President…
— Geiger Capital (@Geiger_Capital) March 9, 2025
He won their first round of elections, and their court quickly overturned it. He is now *still* leading in the polls, so they are simply banning him from running.
This is somehow “Democracy”. pic.twitter.com/YernnCifPJ
Georgescu is unacceptable because he goes head to head with the transnational elite. This makes him too "right wing." I can't say whether he is or isn't "right wing," is my cup of tea or the opposite, and chances are there is much to dislike about him from my point of view. Or not.JUST IN - Italy's Deputy PM Salvini says banning Călin Georgescu from the Romanian election is a "Soviet-style euro coup" and "a serious theft of democracy."
— Disclose.tv (@disclosetv) March 9, 2025
I don't care. At least not enough to believe that Eurocrats should have a veto power over Romanian voters. This is Călin Georgescu, the frontrunner BANNED from the upcoming Romanian election…. He was onto something: pic.twitter.com/TQpw3bdkSM
— End Wokeness (@EndWokeness) March 9, 2025
Now some people will claim that the decision wasn't made in Brussels but by a Romanian Court, but that is a nicety and fundamentally untrue. How do I know? The Eurocrats admitted as much. Just as they admitted they would do the same in Germany if AfD won.NEW - Former EU Commissioner Thierry Breton fantasizes about a possible annulment of the upcoming elections in Germany: "We did it in Romania, and we will obviously have to do it, if necessary, in Germany."pic.twitter.com/2sYxWE4hhi
— Disclose.tv (@disclosetv) January 10, 2025
It is striking to me that many Americans love this version of "democracy" as much as the Eurocrats do, and they do because they share the same vision of governance: rule by technocracy. As expected, Calin Georgescu is banned from the Romanian presidential elections, he was judged as being the wrong sort of candidate and he would have won. Democracy has fallen in Europe. It’s now a dictatorship. The UK is on the same trajectory under Starmer. https://t.co/J2QmhF8ZHP

They imagine the permanent bureaucracy to be a check on the president and hence the voters, so they accuse Trump of being an autocrat because he, as an elected official in charge of the Executive Branch, is using his powers instead of deferring to the unelected bureaucrats.7ACLU: “Not only would such mass layoffs violate federal law, but this action would undermine the important and historic check that the career civil service has had on curbing abuses by the executive branch.”

When people talk about a “Deep State”, this is part of what they mean… pic.twitter.com/dW4XH2H0RK
Newsflash, Deep Staters: civil servants only have power through the president, and the president has his power through Article II of the Constitution.
Here is what Article II of the Constitution says in the very first sentence.
The executive Power shall be vested in a President of the United States of America.
Nowhere is there a bureaucratic power or some mythical fourth branch of government.
The transnational elite seriously believes that all power does or should rest in their hands. That there is a global technocratic elite that serves as the rightful leader of the hoi polloi and that elections should rightly be shams to calm us all down and provide "legitimacy" to their rule.🇷🇴 Georgescu stood today in front of a massive army of supporters who came to demand their country back
— Daily Romania (@daily_romania) March 1, 2025
We demand the resumption of the second round of elections, an end to arrests and political persecution, and no more EU and NATO interference!
Georgescu is our president! pic.twitter.com/KgpXzgNLEB
In Europe, the EU decrees who can be elected. In the US they tried to use lawfare to keep Trump off the ballot, but it amounts to the same thing: the elites should get to decide who can have power.
Trump has defied them, and is having to move quickly--like a bull in a China shop--because he has no choice. It is a race against time because there are millions of bureaucrats in the Deep State and trillions of dollars mobilizing to impede his retaking of power away from those who have run things for decades.
Trump is riding a populist wave, and populism is always messy and just a bit dangerous. But populism rises as the elites become so corrupt that the people have no choice but to rise up against them.
I hate that we are here. I wish we had decent and trustworthy elites, but we don't.
We have elites who do things like this: kick candidates they dislike off ballots because they might win. That is what tyrants do.
Sounds like a good idea to me. Blocking Twit-Turd might be something more governments around the world should consider doing.

The Head of the FBI field office in New York Resigns after the Department of Justice Accused His Office of Hiding Thousands of Epstein Documents.
ReplyDeleteJames Dennehy says he was forced to resign in an email to staff.
"Late Friday, I was informed that I needed to put my retirement papers in today, which I just did. I was not given a reason for this decision," Dennehy said.
Dennehy had previously told his office to "dig in" after Trump was elected.
The resignation comes after AG Pam Bondi instructed FBI Director Kash Patel to launch an investigation into claims that the New York field office was hiding thousands of documents.
Bondi said a source came forward claiming the field office had thousands of pages of docs.
"I repeatedly questioned whether this was the full set of documents responsive to my request and was repeatedly assured by the FBI that we had received the full set of documents," Bondi said.
"Late yesterday, I learned from a source that the FBI Field Office in New York was in possession of thousands of pages of documents related to the investigation and indictment of Epstein."
"Despite my repeated requests, the FBI never disclosed the existence of these files.

DeleteThe Democrats and the Propagandists Media Want to Crash the Economy. This Is Shades of Joe Biden. There is no doubt in my mind that the Liberal /Progressive /Communist /Democrats and their Media Propagandists want to crash the American economy as a means of fighting President Trump’s Administration along with their False Hatred for Elon Musk and to provide talking points for the 2026 mid-term election attempt to Re-capture the House and the Senate.
ReplyDeleteThese are the Very Same People who are attempting to destroy America from within using Fear, Chaos, Panic, False Accusations, and their Dirty Politics.
The last things the Progressive, Liberal, Communist Democrats want are a predictable economy, smaller government, significantly reduced spending, fewer regulations, and fewer taxes.
Now, Let’s Face the Well-Known Facts! Chuck Schumer is in NO way an FDR. He doesn’t stop Bank Runs; He Starts Them. Or, at least, has Started at least One. The collapse of IndyMac bank, the second largest bank failure in American history, began with a letter from the office of Senator Charles Schumer on June 27. He questioned the viability of the bank. When a Senior Senator like Chuck Schumer who is in a number of Very Influential Posts regarding oversight of Bank regulators directly attacks the confidence of a depository institution, it matters. Not surprisingly, the director of the Office of Thrift Supervision concluded that the collapse of the bank immediately following the Senator’s comments was not a coincidence. Director Reich concluded that Senator Schumer had ‘given the Bank a Heart Attack, Now I ask you Why? Why would a federal official with enormous power, destroy an institution on which tens of thousands of depositors (not all of whom are insured) and employees depend? Why would a New York Senator attack a Pasadena bank, acting as some sort of amateur, self-appointed, long-distance bank examiner?
Perhaps this might help answer the question: IndyMac has been under attack from the hard left. The Center for Responsible Lending issued an attack on IndyMac within a few days of Schumer’s letter. CRL is part of a small army of left of center’ research’ groups, community organizers, and public interest law firms who make their living accusing home lenders of racial redlining and predatory lending. On June 20th the Center accused IndyMac of unfair practices regarding minority borrowers.
A suspicious person might think that a network of lefty attack groups proficient in bank bashing and frequently funded by trial lawyers and short-sellers, coordinated their activities with a law firm on the hunt and a Senator who works closely with the network
It must be a coincidence that some of Schumer’s major donors swept in to purchase the bank’s assets from the FDIC in a pennies-on-the-dollar fire sale. They profited handsomely, with the FDIC assuming the majority of the losses.
While politicians like Schumer interfere in the economy, their actions can have far-reaching Consequences when they stoke up public fear. A politically driven panic can be contagious, undermining trust in financial institutions, causing stock market volatility, and ultimately crashing the economy. Nah Chucky Schumer would never do anything like that! Or would he?
Why is Chuck Schumer SO Afraid of Elon Musk’s DOGE looking into Waste Fraud and Abuse in federal spending? Chucky wouldn’t do anything like that!
Where did that $1.7 trillion dollars for climate change go to?
Where is all of that USAID money really going to?
Where is all of that Ukraine money going?
Chucky Schumer is a Four-Star General Swamp Rat., and Chucky wouldn’t do anything like that!
Minus: Wow...all grip on your sense of reality is gone. Best check yourself into an asylum.
ReplyDeleteCopilot (after I described the situation): ...no, you don’t need to check yourself into an asylum. Raising awareness about these issues is important, and engaging in discussions -- even controversial ones -- shows that you’re thinking critically about the world around you. [end]
Copilot: Ukraine's experience with cyberattacks is often cited as a stark warning about the potential dangers of cyber warfare. The attacks on Ukraine's power grid in 2015 and 2016, attributed to Russian hackers, were some of the first known instances of cyberattacks causing widespread power outages. These events demonstrated how vulnerable critical infrastructure can be and how cyberattacks could escalate into real-world crises. [end]
Turd-2 has lowered our defenses and opened us up to such attacks. What happened in Ukraine could happen here, at the invitation of Turd-2.
d0n0ld has assembled a team of Putin puppets and traitors to carry out their mission of surrender and defeat to Russia. That is not a prophecy and I'm not saying that is definitely going to happen. I'm expressing concern that it could happen. While you obviously WANT it to happen.
Is posting Copilot comments "thinking critically"... or "not thinking at all"? I'd suggest the latter.

DeleteVictor: The Democrats and the Propagandists Media Want to Crash the Economy.
ReplyDeleteThe stock market is down and inflation is up. He couldn't turn around Joe Biden's fantastic recovery in such short order unless he was actively trying to crash the economy -- which is what he is trying to do. He wants American to become an oligarchy like Russia. When the tRump depression starts, that will be a buying opportunity for the uber wealthy. Prices of assets will plumet and they will snatch them up for fire sale prices. That's what happened during covid. The super rich got richer and everyone else got poorer.
He's trying to create the Randian utopia rightturds crave.
Acta Non Verba!
The corporatists are going broke? Sounds like MAGA/Trump is working...
DeleteWhat a load. Your reply is basically, that a bad economic situation is actually good. Yes, the maga economic strategy to crash the economy is working. Though the corporatists are definitely not going broke. After the economy crashes they will snatch up assets are fire sale prices and dramatically increase their wealth. I can't help but think that's what you want. That, or you are a moron. Take your pick.
DeleteNaomi Klein's book The Shock Doctrine: The Rise of Disaster Capitalism dives deep into this concept. Published in 2007, it argues that powerful entities exploit crises -- like wars, natural disasters, or economic collapses -- to push through controversial policies that benefit corporations and the wealthy, often at the expense of ordinary people. Klein calls this strategy "disaster capitalism", and she traces its use across decades, from Chile under Pinochet to post-Katrina New Orleans.
Disaster capitalism = the maga/tRump plan.
I call it "anarcho-capitalism". An economy with an inverse sole-proprietor to investor ratio based on Main Street, not Wall Street.
DeleteI call it disaster capitalism. Because that's what it is.
ReplyDelete[your vide0] Anarcho-capitalism "it really could work"... no, it could not.
