What DOESN'T Gyges Want You to See or Know Here?

The Censor's Cloak of Gyges Always Covers ALL Bureaucratic Sins and Supports All PC Narratives
Gee, Maybe if we knew the actual uncensored problem, we could start thinking about how to develop real Democratic (not unconstitutional) solutions for addressing the so-called "gun problem"? After all, it may not even turn out be what the PC Narrative censors are calling it, "a gun problem". Maybe it's a "drug problem" or an "education problem" or a "family structure" problem". But no, the censors want to limit any "solution" to unconstitutional "gun restrictions". It makes you more dependent upon their "benevolent protection" that way. And you can always ask your sharp, intensly probing and detail oriented godfather for a favour on the day of his daughters wedding.... so long as you kiss his ring beforehand.

  1. Maybe it's a "drug problem" or an "education problem" or a "family structure" problem".

It isn't. It is a GUN problem.

Vox: Researchers have found a clear link between gun ownership in the US and gun violence, and some argue that it’s causal. One 2013 Boston University-led study, for instance, found that for each percentage point increase in gun ownership at the household level, the state firearm homicide rate increased by 0.9 percent. And states with weaker gun laws have higher rates of gun-related homicides and suicides... 2/14/2024.

  4. Of course guns are the cause of gun violence. And assault rifles did not exist in 1776.

  5. People use assault weapons to commit suicide (45% of gun related deaths)? There were no pistols in 1776? Who knew?

  6. In 2020, the most recent year for which the FBI has published data, handguns were involved in 59% of the 13,620 U.S. gun murders and non-negligent manslaughters for which data is available. Rifles – the category that includes guns sometimes referred to as “assault weapons” – were involved in 3% of firearm murders.

  7. Minus: People use assault weapons to commit suicide (45% of gun related deaths)?

No. They use assault rifles to kill other people in mass shootings.

What does the data say about guns used in mass shootings? The data also shows that shootings involving rifles took the most lives. Semi-automatic assault weapons have been used in the deadliest shootings on record — including Las Vegas (2017), Orlando (2016), Sutherland Springs (2017), Sandy Hook (2012), and Uvalde (2022)...

Mystere: Meine große Waffe spritzt ab und gibt mir einen großen Knall! LOL! LOL! LOL! Dervish is going to beat his bongos over this... Oh wait, he's gone ape-wol...

Urban Dictionary says "Apewol" is "When someone has reached such a state of ape-like anger and rage (or excitement-driven lunacy) that they, in fact, leave their mental post. In other words, they TOTALLY lose it".

I think Mystere talking about how his "big gun cums" qualifies as "excitement-driven lunacy". You better be careful, Mystere or your might shoot yourself in the endo.

Imaginary threats aren't a "multi-state crime". Why don't you go ahead and report your delusions to the authorities, Mystere. Too much of a coward?

Mystere: You went ape-wol after reading FJ's comment because he told the truth.

No. How can a comment YOU wrote be ME "going apewol"? HOW???

Minus: Not for Dervy. Numbers aren't his forte.

3% is not enough for Minus to care. That is an acceptable level of innocent lives unnecessarily lost for Minus. The percentage could be a lot higher and I doubt Minus would care.

ABC News: There have been more than 632 mass shootings in 2023 so far [12/7/2023], which is defined by the Gun Violence Archive as an incident in which four or more victims are shot or killed. These mass shootings have led to 597 deaths...

BUT, that is out of 40000 deaths. And 45% of those were suicides. So... no biggie according to Minus.

Minus to a parent of a child who was blown away in a school shooting...

Your child was one of a very small number of people killed in mass shootings -- percentage wise. GET OVER IT!

This he says in agreement with his Orange Turd cult leader.

Well, Minus did say (above) that suicide with a gun accounts for 45% of gun deaths. So, as long as people murdered by assault rifles is lower then 45% of all gun deaths, then we are good. Is that your thinking?

That is the price of freedom. And there is NOTHING we can do about it. Well, as per rightturd "logic". It is what the Founders would have wanted.

They are allowed to purchase the murder weapons. Even when they should not be. Due to a criminal record, mental health issues, concerned family members or citizens contacting the police and saying "I'm worried about this person", etc.

Qtard: If that is "accidental". ;-P

No, that is on purpose. rightturds demand that almost everyone who wants a gun (of almost any variety) should have one. Or dozens. And there is nothing anyone can do about it until after people are killed.

Whereas, with cars and bathtubs -- there are laws that mandate safety (for example).

Qtard: \\Whereas, with cars and bathtubs -- there are laws that mandate safety ...\\ And there's no safety law about weapon??? Like holding it in special safes...

You have to have a license, take a test and have insurance to drive a car. You don't have to take a test or have insurance to fire a gun.

Most of the time, after a mass shooting occurs, the authorities confess that the person was on their radar -- they were contacted by family members or others concerned about the mental health of the person in question. But the police always say, "we couldn't do anything".

Well, that's obviously what rightturds want -- in fact they DEMAND that preventable shootings be allowed to continue. Because? People more die in car accidents and by slipping in the bathtub!

And the qtarded rightturds think this argument ISN'T completely absurd.

Number of murder victims in the United States in 2022, by weapon used
    Characteristic Number of murder victims
    Knives or cutting instruments 1,630

Seems like knives are more than THREE times more deadly... than that nasty "assault rifles". ;-P

Or what??? Killing with knives is O.K.???? Because it "accidental death"? ;-P

  33. Qtard: Seems like knives are more than THREE times more deadly... than that nasty "assault rifles".

The primary use of knives is to cut food in the kitchen. People need them. And the primary use for cars is transportation. People need cars. And the primary use for bathtubs is washing. People need bathtubs. People don't need assault rifles.

Qtard: And still... people DO kill other people... with use of a car. Something do not add up here... but you can't grok it -- cause you are cretin.

Yeah, you definitely don't get it. People DON'T NEED assault rifles. But you are too dumb to grok it.

Qtard: \\Most of the time, after a mass shooting occurs, the authorities confess that the person was on their radar...\\ Yeah. That's it. But... no questions from cretin.

You mean you? You ask no questions? Let people have guns even if they're talking about killing? People report them, say "this person is talking about killing". The police look into it, but determine they can't do anything. I'm against that. I dunno why you are trying to (dishonestly) say I'm for it. You must be FOR it. Otherwise you'd just agree with me.

Qtard: Like in that Uvalde case -- where cops just DERELICTED their duty... But, who questioned em for that, ah???

What are you babbling about? Trying to say police not acting was somehow my fault? Trying to say I disagree that those police officers were derelict in their duty? WHERE did I say that? You can quote me?

Qtard: \\Well, that's obviously what rightturds want -- in fact they DEMAND that preventable shootings be allowed to continue\\ Closet "righturds"???

No, it's what someone concerned about gun deaths would say. We should do something about it.

Your response is what a rightturd would say. One who doesn't care about gun deaths. Demands that they continue.

Qtard: -- because totalitarians habitially try to decide instead of people what they need/like and etc.

What someone who hates democracy would say. That a minority that owns guns gets to decide for the majority who want more gun control.

Well, a minority of a minority. Given that most gun owners want more gun control.

Qtard likes gun deaths and I am NOT telling it that it shouldn't. Qtard wants people to keep dying unnecessarily due to being shot. And Qtard has the free speech right to argue in favor of gun violence.
