The article mentioned in the video says the Hong Kong protestors are not aware of Pepe's connection to the Alt-Right. This does not mean that, to much of the rest of the world, Pepe is not a symbol of hate. Pepe represents hate, not freedom.
From the article: Pepe was not always seen as a racist symbol. He was created more than a decade ago by Matt Furie, who killed off the character in 2017 after it was adopted by the alt-right. Members of the alt-right on forums like 4chan and certain corners of Reddit had appropriated his image, much to Mr. Furie's dismay. [End excerpt]
The man who created Pepe does not like that racists adopted his creation as their (your) symbol. But he acknowledges THAT IS WHAT HAPPENED. And so he killed the character off. Racism and hate are not "freedom".
By which you mean racism will live forever. Who knows. I do know that as long as people like you are around it won't. Getting rid of Dotard will certainly be a good start in marginalizing your flavor of evil.
YOUR flavor of stupid is becoming obsolete. Dotard is your last gasp. Demographics will do you in eventually. I never said the Hong Kong protesters are evil. The Hong Kong protesters are the good guys. They simply did not know Western racists had appropriated Pepe. As I said in MY FIRST COMMENT.
BTW, race is the lens through which YOU view the world. Prior to the election of Barack Obama (an event that greatly angered those of your ilk) I actually thought we were more solidly on the path toward a more equitable America.
Those "cultural appropriators" in HK. It's not that they didn't know, cultural appropriation is INHERENTLY racist. Right, Mr. Race Coloured GLASSES? lol!

ReplyDeleteYou're flavor of 'stupid' is becoming obsolete. Race isn't "everything" and it's a pretty stupid lens through which to judge the world.
