Goldstein Plan's His Next Two Minutes' Hate x 720

The horrible thing about the Two Minutes Hate was not that one was obliged to act a part, but that it was impossible to avoid joining in. Within thirty seconds any pretence was always unnecessary. A hideous ecstasy of fear and vindictiveness, a desire to kill, to torture, to smash faces in with a sledge hammer, seemed to flow through the whole group of people like an electric current, turning one even against one's will into a grimacing, screaming lunatic. And yet the rage that one felt was an abstract, undirected emotion which could be switched from one object to another like the flame of a blowlamp.
- George Orwell, 1984

  1. I've heard very little of this 'demonstration', outside of Beck's radio show, anyway, in the MSM. Actually, nothing.

    Excellent quote from Orwell's book.

If we were ever in Orwellian times...

  2. Orwellian, indeed.

I can hardly wait till the big campout in Freedom Plaza in DC. in the vain hope to recreating an "Arab Spring" moment in the nation's capitol.

  3. I only heard about it through an email from a friend. Could get interesting, but I figure it'll fizzle. Just like that awful longshoreman thing where property and people were injured but the mainstream media chose to ignore the acts of 500 of their type lest Americans hear the truth about unions.

  5. Didn't Gen. Douglas McArthur earn his political strings to pull "talking" World War I veterans off the Mall?

Yeah, he talked with a little high-caliber gunfire, but... they heard him.
