None of those things make him the person who killed his children.
Some of you are so desperate to turn this tragedy into a Lifetime movie plot that you are actively searching for another villain because the reality of what happened makes you uncomfortable.
You do not get to decide what grief is supposed to look like.
Imagine waking up one morning with three children, leaving your home believing your family is still intact, and then having your entire life destroyed in a matter of hours. Imagine having to bury all three of your children while the entire internet analyzes your facial expressions, your travel, your marriage, your personality, and every decision you make afterward.
You may not like Patrick’s demeanor. You may not relate to him. You may think you would grieve differently.
That still does not make him responsible for the deaths of his children.
And the fact that people are openly admitting they do not even know the children’s names tells me exactly how badly the public conversation has lost its way.
